Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?

The graphic attributes the quote to a Mom. My Mother in law, Lucille, always encouraged my wife with that quote. In my line of work and as an employer, it's easy to get confused by trying to do too many things and worry about too many things.
Have a great day! Rick

That's a good quote, always good to break things down

Exercised?: Yes. Walked 2.5 Km in 20 mins (hills).
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
Short walk today (shorter than planned). Squeezed in between work, rain and impending sunset. Was only 4.5C (40F) today when walking. Maybe more strength work tonight to compensate.
Rest day yesterday. Still same weight this morning as yesterday Never thought a rest day would be so tough.
Thank you at all for yesterdays congratulations on my hitting goal.

I love my new headphones. The Senso AvtivBuds S-250, sports wireless headphones.
I just finished my cardio strength interval workout of 42 minutes. before that workout, I do 20 minutes of active stretching. I lie on my mat for most of those stretches. My workout has me standing up; lying down; sitting on a Bowflex machine; jumping rope and doing squats. With all of those movements, until today, I was always losing my headset or earbuds. I enjoy listening to a wide range of workout music via Pandora. I have fancy Bose headset that will not stay on my head during exercise. I have tried at least 10 different styles of earbuds, but they all fell out. Pushups are a real challenge for earbuds.
For the first time, I actually forgot that I had a headphone on my head.

@craigo3154 That is the challenge of maintenance. I need the accountability so that I can maintain my normal weight. Almost 100% of people go on a diet with the illusion that when it's over they will go back to their normal and stay the same weight. Rationally, that makes no sense, but most of us are irrational. Maintenance means daily discipline but at a somewhat higher calorie target.7

Pass #1
But definitely exercising.6 -
July 20th
Exercised?: Yes.
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
Was totally hissing it down this morning so had my jog on the treadmill - 7kmh for 35mins.
Forgot how much easier it is to run on the treadmill compared to the outside, especially mixed terrain where I like to go.
I could have gone for longer, but I wanted to get in my 60mins of strength training while I still had time, as I had made plans with a friend for this morning.
Took the dogs out this afternoon for a hour too.
Had a protein shake this morning as I knew I would miss dinner, but I have eaten today. I'm was well below my calorie count, so will have something to eat again later tonight to make up for the missed meal. Already taken into account of the calories I will consume later and tracked the meal I had earlier along with the several beverages I had round at my mate's house.

Yes x 3 though using most of my exercise calories while on holiday. Meals (and wine most nights)with friends and family. At least I'm tracking.
Exercise was fun at the local swimming pool with my kids - lots of fun features and slides as well as swimming!
Hope you're all doing well :-)6 -

July 20
Exercise: 35 min fast walk w/the dog, 15 min speed run, 60 min yoga
Calories: under
Tracked: everything
Miles 3.5
Yoga challenge: 19 days done...will make 1 up
Lesson Learned: Persistence, consistency and doing something different now and again pays off!!!
@craigo3154 Congrats on your loss! I hope your journey continues to be what you need it to!
@Slimpossible007 Way to burn those calories QUEEN!!! Whoop!!! You go get it!
I can celebrate today as well (hope it's okay). Since I started back on MFP June 28th I have lost 6lbs as of today!! WHAAAT????
I know..I know....I kept doing the math on the calculator in case I forgot how to math. My weight has been stagnant for 6 years. Seriously. Gained and lost the same 4 lbs. It's astonishing to look at. I know this because I see it on my MFP weight history.
I feel so awesome seeing FINALLY that my efforts are paying off. Despite menopausal ca-ca and being 48 yrs old and having tummy issues and all the other hurdles that have kept tripping me up I see progress. Doing something different, being and feeling accountable and just PUSHING THROUGH when it is SO. DAMN. HARD can work. Finding the secret recipe is a *kitten*. We all chase it like it's the Golden Ticket not knowing that during the chase we might have passed it right by.
Now I do realize that 'this'...whatever is working...may not work in a month but for right now I am going to have a 60 calorie chocolate pop and bask in a tiny bit of victory!!!8 -

Way to go @PaisleyFlower @nyponbell @Sandera2 @craigo3154 @aeshippers @2020pinktogo You guys are doing AWESOME!
@RangerRickL congratulations with your ear buds...lol and I love todays quote!
5 weeks into my recovery from back surgery. Still lots of discomfort but have no problem getting in my exercise(at the pace I am allowed)> most days I have less pain than I did before surgery and this discomfort will eventually go away. I am allowed back in the pool for 1/2 hour 3 times a week, as long as I just walk back and forth in the shallow end. Need to keep my walker a bit longer which is okay(I guess)..lol Will be off work at least for another 3 months. I am now in what I consider the danger zone as my mind starts thinking I can do things I shouldn't be doing yet........so my mind says YES.........but my body says........NO WAY! The light at the end of the tunnel is definitely getting brighter though!
Thank you to everyone that commented on my writing to my son. He LOVED it! Do see some things I could change but they like that I write them on a whim so I will not change them..lol . I will be checking back later with my positive results for the day.........so far so good!7 -

@conchita962 great job!
@pribud it takes alot to come back after surgery. Super way to stick with it!
Added some running to my walk today just because I could. I clocked it tonight on a bike ride. I did 1.4 miles at a slow, but non-stop pace . Not something I am going to do regularly because it is too tough on my knees. It was just nice to know I can do it! cycled 15 miles.

Not a very exciting day for me today except that I twisted my ankle exercising. It's achy, but I suspect it will improve with a night's rest.4 -

@conchita962 TY and well done on the loss so far
@pribud TY for your concern .. I know doing that one a regular basis isn't good for over all health (i have pics of when Iost my weight last time round as a stark reminder) ... I'm currently 200lbs and I have "progress" pics of the last time when I weighed 170 (and I look bigger then)
Great news on you starting to feel better, just think what another 5 weeks will do .. wishing you a speedier recovery
It ended up a 1500 cal burn .. mapmyfitness was playing up and didn't log one of my walks.
I watch my calories over the month, if my avg is slipping too low I up the food, if its slipping too high I up the exercise. at the moment in July my avg cals in are 1600 and my avg net cals is 1250 << .. I just find it easier to keep on top of it on a monthly basis rather than having to hit around the same cals on a daily basis. it means days that I am hungry I can eat more and other days I can drop the cals.

Yes to all three. Naaasty head cold is tempting me to engage in comfort food, but resisting thus far.1
