    Good job. I don't know how much traction this tread will get as the group is not frequented much, but would be good to discuss programming in general and does not have to especially be SL5x5.

    Hey hey! I'm not just starting SL, but I'm running it at the moment. This group isn't frequented much, but welcome! How are you enjoying SL so far?

    I started SL back in September. I have had several deloads (marked with the ** below) between then and now because of form issues.

    My numbers then vs. now:
    **Squat: 95# 5x5 // 165# 5x5 (200# 1RM at last test)
    **Bench: 65# 5x5 // 120# 5x5
    Row: 45# 5x5 // 85# 5x5
    OHP: 45# 5x5 // 80# 5x5
    **Deads: 145# 1x5 // 210# 1x5 (215 1RM at last test)

    Hi Everyone. Been on 5x5 since June 29. Before that was doing split routines with cardio for about a year and shed 65 lbs from 270 to 205. I'm 6'1".
    Since I started 5x5 I've gained 5lbs of muscle and weigh about 210.
    I've had to deload twice because of holidays, but am extremely happy with results so far.

    Starting numbers/ Latest numbers
    Squat 5x5 135lbs/ 5x5 215lbs
    BP 5x5 135lbs / 5x5 195lbs
    BB Row 5x5 95lbs / 5x5 150lbs
    OH press 5x5 65lbs / 5x5 100lbs
    deadlift 5x5 135lbs/ 5x5 230lbs

    Will f/u with future numbers!

    Great job everyone! I've been at it for about 15 months now and have gone through several ups/downs/deloads/body weight fluctuations, but hopefully this will give everyone some confidence to stick with it.

    Startingx5 => currentx5 => 1RMax
    Squat
    60=>275=>405
    Bench
    65=>210=>245
    Deadlift
    135=>345=>415
    OHP
    45=>125=>140
    Row
    65=>165=>210

    Bodyweight at start was about 185 and current is about 195. Had a cut cycle in there where I got all the way down to 170 @ about 13-15% bodyfat too. Trying to bulk and add some muscle right now so BF is back up around 20%.

    About to start taking creatine monohydrate 5g. along with my EC stack so I'll see where I am at in 4 weeks time.

    looks like everyone is doing great. Failure is part of the process. just keep pushing.
    if you ever watch any of Mehdi's videos... he has several failures also.

    I'm feeling a pretty good amount of pain in my left hip. From what I can gather i believe it to be my psoas. I don't know if I should have or not but I deloaded my squat to 95lbs and started doing 10x3 and really concentrating on form and playing with different foot placements. I seem to have less pain in a narrower stance with my feet pointed more forward. Pain hasn't gone away though so I may have to stop squatting for awhile.

    I just restarted working out again. In 2014 I was running regularly and was squatting my body weight after several weeks of staying committed to stronglifts. In August 2014 I broke my big toe on my right foot a spiral break that took 12+ weeks to heal. Even after it was "healed" I was unable to flex my foot to run and was painful to lift heavy. Finally in January-February I was able to run but I'd lost my mojo

    3 weeks in again and steadily rebuilding I hate these early weeks I want to lift heavier but I know my lower back and core are weak as I was having issues the last time with core weakness so I'm taking it slow and only cheating a little by adding extra weight.

    Last nights workout was:
    Squat :135lb
    OH:65lb
    Dead:165lb I bumped this quite a bit last night. This is hard but not close to a failure for me I probably won't bump it more than the suggested amount from here on out

    Bench:120
    Row:105

    I also restarted the program last month. I had originally started in December and had a solid few weeks going into the holidays. My plan was to travel during the holidays, find a gym so to not fall behind and come back to continue. Well, I got sick (flu, of course) right before New Years's and had been recovering ever since. When February came, I knew it was time to get back to it and start from the beginning. So here are my numbers going into month two:

    Beginning#/Current#:

    Squat 95/150
    Bench 50/115
    Row 75/100
    OHP 65/90
    DL 95/145

    Squat 150
    BP 95
    Row 115
    OHP 100
    DL 195

    Body weight is about 215

    What's up everyone...

    I originally joined a commercial gym in hopes of being able to secure a power cage to do SL5x5. Turns out that almost everytime I went, there would be someone in there with someone else waiting in the wings. Working graveyard shift and going to gym after work, I only have limited time to get it done due to homely duties (i.e. kids, getting sleep, laundry, etc.) so I ended up cancelling my gym membership and (6 months later) getting a cheap Fitness Gear 300lb barbell set from Dick's and a Gold's Gym squat rack.

    I've been at SL5x5 since late Feb of this year and have only missed a few days of sessions but have had to deload a few times.

    SQ 205 (1RM 255)
    BP 116 (using fractional plates right now)
    Row 95
    DL 220
    OHP 75 (also using fractionals here)

    I've had to deload a few times on the BP, Row and OHP. Training at home is not a big deal except on BP...I've had to take the safety pegs out because they keep banging into the barbell at one height and are too low at the next lower height.
