Has anyone tried this. It looks great but it's an American recipe and I am wondering which unflavoured whey protein they used. It sounds like some are better than others and I can't afford to make a mistake, but I'm struggling to find a UK supplier.
Dying for a bacon buttie.

Just had a piece of Soul Bread for lunch. Check out these two links and be sure to read the comments. There are all kinds of variations that folks have been able to use to make this bread work. ENJOY!

I have made cloud bread which is OK but tend to use Lidl high protein rolls or Lovlife seeded bread. These are really bread but low carb and, in my case, don't cause spikes in blood glucose.
There are a lot of recipes on low carb sites that call for whey protein, not sure where we would get it in U.K., perhaps Holland and Barrat or Amazon if someone can suggest a good product.

I have only made the "original" as posted on lowcarbediem.com linked above. I have been told that is the "most disappointing" tasting of them all, but it makes fantastic toast (with bacon, lettuce and mayo lol). Personally, I am not interested in a sweet bread substitute....

I also had a hard time finding unflavored whey isolate (which is different from regular whey protein and apparently very important to the recipe). I had to order it online. I used NOW Brand (which less expensive than the website's recommended/tested brand(s) and the bread has turned out fine every attempt thus far!)
