I will be out of town for several days. My large and populous extended family meets annually for a several day reunion. Last year, thanks to the UAC commitment, I did not overeat. That was a first. As an accountability promise, I commit to me and you, that I will enjoy the reunion and not overeat. I am taking my own gluten free bread. That will help.
I love the family reunion. Our family has more than a few nuts and also some difficult personalities, but somehow, it all works. Our children and now our grandchildren look forward to this event.
I have asked our UAC guru and teammate, @craigo3154 to post the daily kick-off discussion lead.
I'll report in as I can. There is almost no coverage for our cell company in that area. Hey, that makes me feel like @2020pinktogo does when she tries to use her internet.
Bye for now!

Have fun, @RangerRickL, and way to go on your eating plan!! You will be successful!

Hope you have a great time at your reunion Rick
@pribud glad to hear that you are making good progress with your recovery, you are an inspiration with your commitment to your exercise rehab.
@gus130 sorry to hear that you're not feeling up to exercise at the moment, hang in there, I'm sure it will get better for you.
Exercise: cycled to work and did 40 minutes of gentle exercise bike this evening although that was more to stop me snacking than exercise.
Tracking: yes
Calories: yes, my exercise bike tactic worked just well enough7 -
August 4
Exercised?: Yes. Walked 7 Km in 60 mins (hills).
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
Same walk as yesterday (again - like this walk it's almost exactly 60 mins and has a few challenging sections to work the cardio intensity). More German and Japanese.
Thought for the day: "When is a calorie not a calorie? When it is consumed by somebody."
(However we need some measurement, and the calorie oversimplification at least gets us in the right ballpark).
Late night tonight. Need sleep more comments in the morning.

@trixsey1. I thought washing was cats was like WW3, not dogs.
@salty_runner_girl. Hopefully some (not all) of that UK rain makes it here. Where I am in Australia is having it's driest winter on record (great for daily walking, not good for water storage and the summer fire season).
@Gus130. You are doing great. Keep doing what you can. Thoughts are with you.
@fitastic2day. Yep. Planning. Makes all the difference
@returnofthejedi. Always good to get the other other end of rough days still on top. Well done.
@loopydo2017. Tubing sounds like a great day. Great way to get exercise.
@hawkins410. Hope you feel better soon.
Caught up now. - Always brightens my day hearing what others here are up to.

Date: 4 August 2017
Exercised?: I was on call and worked until 0600 this morning, so I couldn't do my typical early morning high intensity workout. That's perfectly fine, though!!! I did 30 minutes of hula hooping with my 4 pound weighted hula hoop
Calories?: I've met my goal--in fact, since my day was a bit oddly structured (due to work), I'm going to have about a 600 calorie deficit. That's not okay for me, since it's really import for me to consume at or close to my daily goal. To be successful with weight loss, I cannot feel hungry. That just doesn't work for me.
If anybody has suggestions for how I can incorporate a healthy, light nutritious snack when I have to be up at night, I'd really appreciate it!! I do occasionally have to work a night shift.
Tracked?: Yes, I tracked everything.
Keep up the good work, everybody!!!6 -

Hello there! 3 yeses today. Though I really thought about stress eating because my hubby and I are up with a sick baby tonight. Feeling worn out, but I've decided to drink a tall glass of water and try to go to bed instead. I managed to salvage the day with this choice. Hooray! Rest well all. Good night.7

Good lunch, but had a mocha frappe late afternoon... haven't had sweet drinks other than water for a long time, then I had girl's night. Proud of myself made a wise decision, ordering raw oysters than other entree, this way I didn't eat over my calorie limit for today.3 -

Day 1 of the family reunion was fun. Our grandkids went to a beautiful new community pool here in this small town of Rushville, Illinois, population 3,500.
Family from all over the country arriving. The circle of life goes on in that we are doing memorial services for 2 relatives who died this year. On the bright side, two babies were born in different parts of the US yesterday who are descended from my paternal grandparents.
Young and old are enjoying each other!
