    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • Nice pot luck dinner last night. Well attended and met more of our neighbors.
    • This mornings trip to the scale says I enjoyed it a bit too much.
    • I'm working the early service at church so I better run.
    • Have a great Sunday everyone.

Gotta love a good potluck! Yum!
You all inspired me ... I bought makin's for BLTs for dinner this week.
I agree with Dennis, David ... time to shop! But be careful. When our granddaughter was a baby, we thought it was kinda fun that, every time she came over, we bought her a new outfit to send her home in. Unfortunately, our daughter interpreted that as us not liking the clothes she had for her, and she was offended. We stopped buying her clothes for quite some time after that, and I miss it.

We had a re-do of date night last night, and it was much better than Friday's meal. Oh! And I signed up for Shipt ... do you all have that where you are? It's so cool! I do my grocery shopping online now, and someone else gets it all and brings it to my house for a little tip. I've always hated grocery shopping, especially on weekends, so this is AWESOME!

    Good morning BBB.

Those grocery delivery services seem convenient, but I don't know that I wouild rust them to give me the best produce and meat. We always spend a lot of time picking through things.

Summer is slipping away from me and I have lots of work to get done. I have to get out in back and cut bowl blanks out of the pile of logs our son and DDIL delivered to me a couple months ago.

    Good Morning BBB.
Late to the party - Jack on the treadmill and Tom is relaxing. He stayed home yesterday - rare - watched the race and rested the hip. He will work today while we have the open house - I'll be here with our agent and his wife. It's great weather so we are hoping the right person comes along. I love our home but realize that it is not for everyone. We are in an oak savanna on nearly 5 acres so if someone is looking for subdivision living they will not like our setup.
    Bill - countdown time!
Mary - I hope to get to the farm stand again this week - corn and tomatoes are perfect now as well as cucumbers, peppers, etc.
Lisa - so glad you got a date night re-do. When Lee and I talk about dog training it is for a specific task - the dogs involved have obedience fundamentals and we are working on developing the inherent abilities. Lee and I are working on tasks with our dogs while some people are more sport oriented.
Steph - glad you are home. Two phones is so smart - Tom does the same thing.
David - grandkids are wonderful no matter what they wear. I am with you on the grocery service - I enjoy picking out our produce and such.
Dennis - I have had an iPhone since they first came out. I love the Apple ecosystem but I can see where it would drive you crazy.
    Do good out there everyone.

Morning gang. Stayed up way too late last night. 15 yo niece has a back to school/birthday party that was supposed to be a fire pit party. Started to rain about 10 so the party moved to the family room where our bed room was. Thankfully most of them had to go home at 11.

My BIL also had a college buddy stay here and many of their friends dropped by for a beer. Thank goodness for earplugs. They stayed up way later than I did.

I sometime get my groceries delivered. The local store Hyvee provides the service for $5 or free of over $100. I get most of my produce at Costco so I am happy for them to deliver canned goods and staples. My list doesn't deviate much week to week so I just hit reorder and make a change or two.

I think they do a great job of picking out items but they are very literal. If you ask for one banana you will get one banana not a bunch.

    Good morning BBB

BLTS and corn on cob here tonite

I'm too anal about expiry dates and picking through produce to let someone else shop for me.

Sending good vibes to Raine for an offer. Does the realtor have any new marketing suggestions?

Looks like I'm going to have to do some watering today no rain...

Laughing about the expiring date thing. My DW will have me shift half the cases of lettuce at COSTCO so she can find the latest shipping date (or confirm that they all have the same date). And the "best" watermelon is always the biggest one, down on the bottom, in the far corner, where the old guy will have the hardest time reaching it and picking it up.

    Hi, folks.

Late to the party. We went to an art fair, had beer with brunch and went to Gurnee Days for Cecilia to have her annual funnel cake.

Lou, I remember staying in Gurnee 10 years ago when managing a project at Abbott Labs.
