Challenge SW (10/08/2017) - 86.9 kg / 13st 10lb / 192 lbs
Current Weight - 86.9 kg
Ideal/Goal Weight - 69.3 kg / 10st 13lb / 153 lbs
Resting HR - 55
OUCH! Not converted kg to lbs for ages! Seems I have gained serious poundage since last year's low point.
Looks like we have "roughly" (+/- 6 lbs) the same weight to lose to get to ideal goal Claire!
NHS Calculator says I need to be under 84.1 kg / 13 st 3 lbs / 185 lbs to sneak under the "Overweight" and into the high "Normal" weight category so I am currently back up in the NHS "Overweight" category again......
So the Immediate Goal must be to lose that 2.8 kg / 7 lbs
And then on to goal weight by losing the remaining excess 14.8 kg / 32 lbs
Total to Ideal weight Goal = 39 lbs!
At the recommended 2 lbs a week I should be at ideal goal weight in 19 1/2 weeks! Just in time for Xmas! If only it were that easy to keep to plan. ^_^
But we are going to give it a try!
Pick out our "goal weight size" Xmas outfits!
Pass the sweet tatties & broccoli please! Ideal Weight by Xmas here we come!0 -

Habeeba300,
The lower your heart rate the fitter you usually are and therefore the more efficient your body will become at using energy (calories) so that is (partly) why your fitbit, or other calculators, will show a lower calorie burn for a lower HR.
One exception to this is a heart issue like Bradycardia which can happen when:
- Changes occur in the heart due to ageing
- Certain diseases damage the heart’s electrical system, such as coronary heart disease, heart attack, diphtheria or myocarditis
- Certain conditions slow the normal electrical impulses in the heart, such as in hypothyroidism, or as a result of electrolyte imbalances (like too much potassium in the blood)
- Some heart medicines affect the heart’s rhythm such as beta blockers (including eye drops), or anti-arrhythmics
- Open heart surgery has been performed.
Most adults have a resting heart rate of 60-100 beats per minute (bpm). The fitter you are, the lower your resting heart rate is likely to be. For example, athletes may have a resting heart rate of 40-60 bpm or lower (some endurance athletes have been known to have RHR's as low as the 30's.
Peeps should contact their GP if they think their heart rate is continuously above 120 bpm or below 40 bpm (although this could just be normal for them they should still get it checked).
More than you asked for, but I hope that helps anyone reading this.0 -

I am not too concerned about the gain, i have exercised three times this week, have eaten much better, i am sure the scales will change sooner or later.

A loss over the week of 1.5 lbs. Happy with that. Will have my Bob the builder hat on next week so risk seeing that regained if history is anything to go by.

Today's weight 11 st 8.4 a gain of 2.2 . My resting heart rate has dropped to 53 I don't think it's all bad and some of this gain is due to extra water from period and I did have salty food last night . I feel fat and horrid0
