This is probably a dumb question, but I am trying to keep my carbs to 50 net (total carbs minus the fiber). When I exercise, it says I need more carbs. Am I supposed to eat more carbs, or do I still stay at eating 50 carbs?

MFP says you can eat back all your excercise calories, then it divides that out into your macros according to whatever your percentages are.

I ignore that, myself. If you've paid for premium you can turn that 'feature' off.

If your goal is to keep your carbs at 50, keep it 50. My opinion.

What I have done is the past is enter my calories burned as 1 or if using one of mfp's exercises where it calculates calories, I override that # and enter 1. Just an another way of doing things.

My understanding is that carbs are a cap, even if exercising. You can eat back exercise calories in proteins and fats, but best not to increase carbs.

I have my exercise already factored into my calculations, so I ignore MFP, but I do schedule more carbs on strength training days and it definitely seems to help recovery.
