I bought a new bike: Cervelo C3!

A few weeks ago, Beth and I went to Winthrop for the weekend. I loaded my Grade in the car, went back into the house to grab a few things I’d missed, and a junkie broke my window and took the bike. In broad daylight – at rush hour on a busy street in front of people. The car alarm went off, the guy got on the bike before I could get outside. Somebody called 911 and the police promptly showed up an hour later.

I bought a Cervelo C3 to replace it.

This is more of a fondo bike than a gravel bike. It’s perfect for me. I love the way it rides, it has exactly the right amount of clearance, and it’s incredibly well suited to my riding style and the roads around here that I like. I’m excited to have it!

The shop I worked with was motivated to sell, and took pity on my situation, so they gave me a huge discount. The bike has Ultegra Di2 (6870) with hydraulic brakes (R785), Vector 2 pedals, an Enve stem and SES bars, and I have a set of 4.5 AR wheels being built for it. My dream bike.

I wish I had more and better pictures, it’s still a work in progress.

Nice ride! Hate that your old steed got jacked but at least you found a silver lining in a bad situation. Did insurance cover any of the cost?

    Thanks guys!

Let's not talk about insurance. :disappointed:

Beth and I are getting ready for a weekend in the mountains and I've got a ride planned.
