Everyone says it, but just how do you do it? How do you take the guidelines of the WW program and turn them into a lifestyle you can live every day...from now on? That is what we are here to explore. Each weekday, a new topic is offered up for discussion. Newbie? Join in! Veteran? Join in! Your thoughts may be just what someone else needs to hear.

Number one is My DW because while she does work she comes home and takes care of helping keep my dietary needs in line and cooks in such a way that is beneficial to my journey as well as helping me with shopping for food items. She also helps with as my conscience (although this can get testy sometimes) also with helping to keep on schedule with meals (I tend to pt my work ahead of anything) so all in all I am so very appreciative for everything she does and is my number one support and cheerleader.

I have a license registered dietitian that has been helping since 2/24/17. She is very patient with me and I am very grateful.

I have been on the Goad board since 2010 and daily since 11/07/11 and I really appreciate all the advice, posts and other various ways the GoaDs help in my journey. I do not go to WW meetings and never have so I get a huge amount of support from the GoaD board.

I also have support with Psychotherapy that has been helping with my journey since 3/1/17. I really am grateful for this person helping me figure out why I do what I do in regards to food and generally why I do what I do when I do it and also for making the changes I need to make headway with this weight journey.

I don't know that I can put a single person above others for the WL support.. My wife doesn't participate much in the journey, and thinks this counting calories stuff is silly.

However, I'm grateful for my friends here on MFP, and especially GoaD - I'm learning a TON here, and the numbers reflect it.

Youngest son, (In 2012 he was 28 yo) made a comment to me that was my "Light Bulb" moment. What he said was about me never dong anything when the family talked to me about my weight/health. He made me realize I was killing myself with food similar to my alcoholic mother's drinking. It made me realize what I needed to do for myself. I would have done anything to get my mother to quit drinking, but she didn't and died at 54.
    I was 65 and weighed 376#. Today I'm 69 and 200#.

My wife. In 2013 I was planning on WL surgery but was afraid. DW said "why not try WW one more time, because you know it works."
We had both lost weight many times wth WW. She was a WW Leader on 1970s.
She joined with me in January 2013, lost 30# and is at Lifetime.
She is a fitness junkie and a role model for me. I finally realize why she loves to exercise. I like going to aqua aerobics and swimming now.

My WW Mtg Ldr and staff make going to my weekly WI and meeting FUN!

My husband has been great. He is thin and very active. He does a lot of the cooking and is willing to cook or prepare what I need.

I also have a few close friends, my "diet buddies". We exchange regular emails to provide support.

My wife. Grilled pounds of chicken breast, made gallons and gallons of zero point soup.

Goad. I needed a lot of information when I started. If I had to wait for a week to get answers I wouldn't have made it.

My meeting. If I hadn't stuck with that meeting I would have blown it by now.

Certainly my partner. She does all the shopping and food prep so staying on-course is relatively easy for me. GOAD has been a tremendous help since Day 1. I have a great meeting leader and a good group there. Lastly, a few friends and family have been very encouraging and supportive.
