@Dave - Yep. Came around a corner and hit gravel from construction. The bike hung up in a tree and I continued down the 25 foot cliff. I always wear full protective gear so all I broke was my collar bone and a couple ribs. I can remember lying on ground thinking I would just wait for medical personnel before trying to move. However, once I felt the first fire ant crawl on me I figure risking injury was better than getting eaten alive. Crawled up the cliff and walked to a house to call for emergency care. :-)

I think that light I see at the end of my tunnel really is sunshine. Well, OK, today is cloudy and icky, but I still have time to get outside in it, sooooo let's hope I can find a raincoat.

Well it has been one heck of a week here in FL. I live on the east coast so while we were prepared for the worst, we didn't get it. Being on the east side of the storm, we got lots of tornados and wind even though it was not a direct hit. Loads of tree damage, but no flooding in my area. So I am very grateful. The gym has been closed and for 3 days I didn't do any purposeful miles for exercise, but I did a lot of work moving debris in my neighborhood, marching in place during the storm (to get my 10k steps on my fitbit) and walking everywhere possible when possible. So for those 3 days, I am going to use my fitbit miles for the day (hope this isn't cheating!).

@anaconda469 - those pics of the fire are amazing and frightening at the same time!
@darkrider42 - Sorry to hear about your baby. I know those perfect ride days don't come along all the time and missing out on 6 or more weeks of them has to be truly disappointing.
And one last thing...GO INDIANS! 21 straight!!!!

My MIL died on Tuesday at the age of 92 after having a stroke and I spent much of that day with family members keeping vigil. The walking I did yesterday helped a lot with stress.0 -
Didn't get as much walking yesterday as I hoped, but 2 miles is better than 0 miles.

@ANACONDA469 - Amazing picture! It's unfortunate what it represents, but it is really something how powerful and beautiful images can come from such tragedy.
@SUFFERLANDRIAN - Wow, Dean! But having experienced fire ants a couple of times in my life, I would have to agree with you!! You probably scaled that cliff one-handed in record time! Those things are nothing to mess with!
@LISAH8969 - So glad you are safe!! And of course you're allowed to use your Fitbit miles. That's a perfectly good measurement substitute.
@WILLNEVERGIVEUP - My heartfelt condolences on the loss of your MIL. ((hugs))
I was off the clock here yesterday as I spent the day in bed after getting the flu shot that is not supposed to make a person sick. Just like it has for me every year for the last 7 years. *eyeroll*
