What's your workout?

I started my pregnancy pretty out of shape. So, my workouts have been pretty simple; pregnancy yoga, walking, 20 minutes on the elliptical, and chasing after my 20-month-old little girl.

My midwife has encouraged me to take my idea of working out and "let it out of the box". She told me many of the women she works with enjoy dance parties with their LO's, games of tag, and one woman in particular hula-hooping!

The goal I was given is to make sure I get my heart rate up for a minimum total of 30 minutes each day.

What does your workout look like? Any tips?

    I love swimming, which I try to do once a week. I also try to go to a yoga class once a week, but I have to stop going to my hot yoga class and find another one. Otherwise, I really like lifting weights, following along with an aerobics video or literally just jogging around my basement while listening to my jams. For some reason, I can't jog outside to save my life, but I can do a good 12 minutes of laps around my rec room!
    As I get more tired and bigger, swimming, yoga and weights will be my go-to (I remember how awesome it felt to be weightless in the pool when I was heavily pregnant with my first!)
