My colon and rectum were given an eviction notice on Friday because of my fistulas so I will be getting a permanent ileostomy. Wasn't expecting this at all (though I knew I'd probably eventually get one). No surgery date yet as he is overwhelmed with cancer patients but probably in a few months.

    I have an ileostomy. I have Crohn's. I still go to the gym and lift. If that's a concern for you go slooowwww. Wait a month.

    @Snowhite61 thanls. I ended up having my proctocolectomy on May 5th. I still have an open wound but once that's finished healing I will rejoin the gym.
