Sometimes, the person we have the greatest difficulty forgiving is ourselves. Here at the UAC, we strive to be very forgiving of each other. Unfortunately, a lot of people leave this team because they get 3+ Pass days and they quit. Forgive yourself and keep moving forward.

Exercised?: Yes. Walked 5 Km in 36 mins (hills).
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
Early walk today, first time under 36 mins for the 5 km (35m45s). Needed to get out early to go into the city.
One of the appointments in the city was a body test (fitness club marketing within a city corporate office). Measured lots of parameters. BF% came in at 11.3% (lowest reading they had of anyone that day - and lowest ideal sustainable). Visceral fat level (organ fat) was one of the lowest the testers had seen (which is excellent). I was also well balanced in upper/lower and core development. Lean muscle mass about the only measurement above normal range.
Comparing results with a former manager (who has a reasonably thin build and cycles 40+ km 3 times a week). I had not seen him in over 3 years and he had always been reasonable fit and thin. I came in better on most scores (much to his surprise).
Hard to sell try gym membership to someone who does not seem to need it. Proves you don't need a gym to get you in shape
(do not lift weights, and have not set foot in a gym in many years).
@RangerRickL. This is one of my goals for the month. Forgive my own mistakes. I am great at forgiving others, but a classic INTJ is not good at forgiving themselves.
@trixsey1. Thank you for the beautiful pictures of Sherwood.

@craigo3154 Congratulations on your awesome numbers!!! Job well done. The good news is that you are continuing to practice your new lifestyle /healthy habits even though you have reached your goal weight( and of course that's the difference between diet and lifestyle).0

Today is world mental health day. I agree with Rick and hope you're all being kind to yourselves. . One way or the other we will get there.

@am_change. Love the pic. Saved it off for later reference. So true.@craigo3154 Congratulations on your awesome numbers!!! Job well done. @Dosse1320. @am_change. Thank you. I am very happy with the numbers. As mentioned continuing the lifestyle is the key. I took the attitude that "this is a journey, not a destination". This seems to be a different mindset what I have seen from a traditional "dieter".

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, 60 minute trail run/walk. Slowly making progress, up to 40 minutes continuous running. Could probably go farther, but faithfully following my coach's training schedule for me. I haven't ran this long/far for at least 25 years. lol

I believe that when I started to forgive myself, I began to succeed. The fail, succeed @am_change post really hit home. I used to miss a day of the gym and quit working out altogether or eat one unhealthy thing and let my whole day or week go. Since then, I started to accept that life happens, learned to forgive slip-ups, and tried to make each day better than the one before. This helped me incorporate and focus on life-long healthy habits rather than 'quick fixes.' Wonderful posts!
I almost didn't workout today, because I have a test tomorrow, but as usual, I'm so happy that I did. I'm not nearly as stressed and have been able to stay focused
I hope everyone is doing well!5 -

Thanks, am_change Years ago, one of my mentors taught me that the road to success was Practice, Fail; Practice, Fail; etc. He said, "Everyone wants to succeed, but few are willing to pay the price of being wrong."4

I got out of work half hour early as I wanted to see the second half of the WC qualifier against Trinidad & Tobago. Shouldn’t have bothered as it was 2-0 before I walked out the door and the end result was a pitiful 2-1 eliminating the US. Unbelievable

I don't know ...
I am still on track and in tolerance.
Still probably won't make winners circle ... but ...
this whole tracking thing works. I been doing it for a while but I ain't been doing it perfectly.
... but ... my habits have changed. There are a lot of things that I don't do any more with respect to diet. I don't munch. Eh, comfort food. Maybe I better qualify that. Sometimes I eat peanuts. That is munching. But I know how much it costs when I do it. That is tracking.
But it is all good. I ain't got the big belly any more. I ain't got the sore back that comes with that any more. Somebody takes a picture of me of course I try to suck in my gut because that is habit. But I like them pictures now.
Heh, I am still basking in the memory of a most excellent perfect Indian Summer camping trip.
I put a picture here even though it ain't right. The best sunset I ever seen. I always say that whenever I see a sunset. Then I take a picture and look at it days later. I am all like what?
But I remember my buddy Rick (@rangerrickl) when I see that big ole horse trailer parked there and all of them horses standing by it. There was a couple of drovers or wranglers but on top of each one of them horses was a kid. Beauty big time!
That make me think about my little rapscallions and whether or not I could heave them up on top of a horse. Dang, I am getting older and dang they are getting heavier.
But hey, a most excellent Indian Summer.

@rangerrickl - I am not much of a horse guy. I doubt that I could spend a day on a horse. But that doesn't mean that I don't have horse fantasies or visions. I got this idea about how cool it would be if I was riding my bicycle on the Colorado Trail but I was with an entourage with pack animals that could carry my air mattress, tent and sleeping bag.
There is an outfitter like maybe ten miles of where I go. rappcorral.com. They got horses and they provide them for pack trips but I don't know if they would provide them for unguided trips. I can't imagine that they would but I don't really know that business.
Way cool it would be for a bicycle to show up at a horse camp and find all of the stuff that he couldn't realistically carry.0
