Anyone doing 5:2?

I only started doing IF yesterday, and I started with the 16:8 IF program, but I really, really like the looks of the 5:2 program. I eat really healthy, I just seem to eat too much! I don't eat junk foods, if I eat out, it's something healthier (like sashimi), etc. I LOVE the idea of being able to eat "whatever I want" 5 days a week, and only dieting on 2 of them.
I realize "whatever I want" doesn't mean junk food binging, too much alcohol, etc. I have awful food allergies, so almost all my meals are homemade and nutritious. 5:2 looks like an easy fit with my already challenging diet.
Has anyone tried doing 5:2?
Does anyone want to try it with me?
I'm still going to stick with 16:8, at least for today, but I think I might jump into 5:2 starting tomorrow, since my schedule is pretty light that day.

I do 5:2, but my 2 fast days are total fasts. Water, tea, broth only. I don't eat the 500 calories most do for 5:2.
I was doing 18/20 hours of fasting already, so figured I'd push it. I'm completely fine till about 22 hours in, then I tend to watch the clock. lol
I fast from 5pm to 5am 2 non-consecutive days, this works for me as I work graveyard shift.1 -
I'm on Week 3 of 5:2, and on my fast days I eat 500 calories at dinner only. My normal life is pretty much 16:8, and honestly I don't lose weight keeping my intake to a eight hour window, but that's just me. I know others have great luck. 5:2 is working for me, and it's made me more aware on my other 5 days.1
