Eh, I didn’t have the healthiest week of eating, but I still stuck to my calories overall. I went over 1300 on 2 days, but my weekly average was still slightly under 1300. Continuing Strong Curves.
Best meal: Yummy salad from the health food store by my house.
Worst meal: Cheeseburger. But at least I didn’t get fries!
Best snack: Apple.
Worst snack: Had half a bagel with cream cheese at work the other day ... I’d forgotten how much simple carbs screw me up! I was starving all day!3 -

This weigh in is from Friday, my "official" weigh in day. Which is good because this weekend I went off the rails and am up quite a few pounds this morning, but I'm hoping it's water weight and will come off quickly. Last week I did great with diet and not so much with exercise, so I decided to just bite the bullet and go back to my trainer and I started with him again this morning. I just need the accountability of an appointment plus I already know that I've had a lot of success with him so that helps with staying motivated.
Also, just want to brag a little, but I have officially lost 50 pounds! (with my Friday weight at least haha)
Do you plan to make any changes this week to what you previously were doing?
Yes! I'm so excited for this week and for getting back in with my trainer. Everything just kind of clicks into place when I'm working out with him. So hopefully my husband is on board with getting back into a healthier routine, he is interested in working out with me so as long as I can get his butt out of bed in the mornings it should be smooth(er) sailing.
Best meal: Grilled chicken wings and drumsticks with corn on the cob
Worst meal: Spaghetti and cake at my in-laws last night
Best snack: Smart Pop
Worst snack: WAY too much halloween candy3 -
Took a break from weighing in after Labor Day trip to Chicago. Last lowest weight was 237 so working to get back to that number and then hopefully drop below it.
Weigh-in #5: 240.4
Total loss: +3.4
Why were you successful/unsuccessful last week? Sticking to meal plan
Did you stick to your goals last week? For the most part yes. The only monkey wrench was a tailgate yesterday but I kept my intake pretty moderate there.
Do you plan to make any changes this week to what you previously were doing? Going to look for ways to switch up my workouts as I'm starting to get bored doing all the same fitness classes since January.
Best meal:Eggs with crab and feta this weekend to get rid of a few groceries I had left over from other recipes
Worst meal: Cake/tacos/liquor/chips at the tailgate. Went to Soul Cycle a few hours after though lol.

Weigh-in #2: 146.9
Weigh in #3: 144.1
Weigh in #4: 142.8
Weigh in #5: 140.4
Loss this week: 2.4 lbs
Total Loss: 9.7 lbs
Goal weight: 132.5 lbs
Goal: to lose: 1.5 per week, total of 18 lbs.
I am so surprised by my weight loss this week. It is more than it should be, but I will take it. I just have to remember this when I weigh in next week. I am ALMOST 40 lbs down, and I have about 8 lbs left to go.
Why were you successful/unsuccessful last week? I think I was successful by still sticking to my diet plan, but this was a greater loss than it should have been, I am sure it will bounce back up over the next couple days.
Did you stick to your goals last week? I went over one binge night by over 800 calories. I just was so hungry and was up late putting in grades. first I had a half a protein bar, then the other half, then some cottage cheese, then a cheese stick, then another cheese stick, then another half a protein bar, and finally 2 Nutty Butter bars. That is the first time I have done the late night binge thing in the 4 months I have been dieting. I was disappointed in myself, but I think I shook it off well and moved on. (Hey... maybe that is why I lost the extra pounds this week?????)
Do you plan to make any changes this week to what you previously were doing? No, I am going to keep with what I have been doing, but no cheating!
Best meal: Ate out a lot this week with my husband out of town, but really worked on staying within my calories.
Worst meal: I am sure some of the restaurant meals were over in calories. Did the rule change on restaurants posting calories? I noticed that Cheesecake Factory has taken the calories off their menu, and removed the nutrition guide from their website. It seems like it is harder for me to find nutrition guides for restaurants lately. Sauce no longer has their nutrition guide either.

I'm a daily weigher, but I only count Fridays as my "official" weigh-in. That being said, technically I did lose .6 lbs last week, but I admit that it was tough to get on the scale today and see it up 1.8 lbs... I know there are a lot of reasons for the potential flux... I've spent the past two weekends traveling and not watching what I eat as closely as I would when I am home. I ate out multiple times last week, because I was traveling and with friends. Additionally, my time at home was limited, I only worked out three days last week as opposed to the normal six days a week schedule I usually follow. It's also my TOM, so I know that plays a factor in weight fluctuations. Anyways, this all goes to say that although I did finally move a bit on the scale, I'm definitely struggling with the slow process and the fluctuations right now although I know from experience that the fluctuations are to be expected especially with the interruptions to my schedule.
Do you plan to make any changes this week to what you previously were doing?
Fortunately, this week is looking pretty low key, so I plan to get back on track with my exercise routine. I also plan to more closely log what I am eating. I think overall the past two weekends went fairly well. I'm certainly not binging on snacks the way I have in the past. However, I find I do best when I stick to logging everything I put in my mouth.2 -

Yaaaaaaaaaay! So happy you're back with your trainer. And is it time to eat Halloween candy already? I better get on it then. Lol1 -
@LynnJ9 Thank you! I bought some new work out shoes this weekend as my reward and now I'm even more excited to go to the gym so I can wear them
@SmithsonianEmpress It's always time for Halloween candy in my book! And thanks! I'm happy we're back together too haha, I feel much better about everything now2 -

I got down to 132 last week but it went back up again. I really don't like the scale these days. My body fat has supposedly gone down since August anyway.
Why were you successful last week? I ate home cooked meals with tons of veggies every weekday. It was such a wholesome week. And I hit my exercise goals.
How were you unsuccessful last week? I had a few drinks over the weekend and boom, went over my calories.
Did you stick to your goals last week?
I let stress get to me, so no
This week I'm saying NO to stress!1 -

.6 isn't that bad, especially since you weigh yourself often. I really haven't been able to bring myself to have a drink since college. Literally, the smell makes me so freaking nasceous (maybe because I used to throw up all the time afterwards ). But cake/cupcakes/chewy fruity candy are keeping me from progressing.
I TOO am joining the campaign against stress!!!1 -
Hi everyone. I've decided with grieving for my dad and nephew that I'm going to just concentrate on maintaining my weight loss to date.
I don't know when I'll be "back" as far as being active in the group.
Thank you all for the support over the past year and hopefully I'll be posting again before the challenge ends.5 -

I guess I loss the stress test . I ate a whole pizza last night. I never used to stress eat. I actually used to not eat. There have been periods of time a would go days without eating because too much is on my mind. Both are bad though. Not working has really brought disorganization to my life. I can't do much because I have my girls all day so doctors appointments, going to the gym, sorority and church events are very very minimal. Children are unpredictable which makes my day unpredictable. Many times I feel like running errands is a chore....having to get all 3 of us dressed and hair combed, preparing the diaper bag etc. I've definitely gotten better at organizing my day but that's because the girls are getting older. I'm definitely the kind of person the less I have to do the more disorganized I am which may be weird to some. I'm kind of all over the place with trying to figure out when to workout and what to eat, what jobs to apply to, finding a good schedule for my girls and my son has started school so now he has real homework. Same things we all deal with I'm sure so I'm not unique....just trying to get it all together and NOT make food my enemy.1

Jessica, you're doing great in the larger scheme of things. Caring for three little ones is no joke. I struggle big time with unscheduled time with just my one toddler, yet having to bring him outside the house seems daunting some days. Well at least there's another chance to succeed on the stress test next week...1 -

Why were you successful/unsuccessful last week?
I was successful in losing a small amount of weight. I watched what I ate and exercised every day but Wednesday.
Did you stick to your goals last week?
Mostly yes. I did skip all exercise one day and had a food binge one day, which was pretty significant. But I did catch myself and course-corrected the next day.
Do you plan to make any changes this week to what you previously were doing?
Continue following the same routine - 1700 calorie limit and 30 minutes of exercise every day and see if it makes a difference.
Best meal: Home-made vegetable saute
Worst meal: Gluten-free ravioli with Alfredo sauce
Best snack: Almond butter pouches
Worst snack: Way too much cereal0 -
A 2 lb loss is GREAT! What kind of cereal do you eat? I like kix and chocolate cheerios.0
