is it even a possibility? With all the cancers in the world, I would rather not eat too much meat...but is keto feasible without? Just a thought.......what do you think?

Thanks for posting the link.1 -
Also, if you do an internet search for "Eco-Atkins" you'll find some good information.
Diet doctor has some great stuff too.

@FANCY1977 -
In addition to the resources listed in the Launch Pad, there's a pretty active closed FB group called "Vegetarian Keto" that has a bunch of recipes and meal plans listed under the the Files tab.2 -

@FANCY1977 keep us posted. I looked into it and did not see a simple way. Unlike in my lifetime of meat and potatos eating I am now much more plant based but still eat some meat mainly to boost my protein intake.
My scare of cancer when the doctors wanted me to start on Enbrel injections three years ago has been center of my reading of research from around the world as to how to resolve or better yet prevent cancer from starting and spreading.
Eating foods that harms our immune system and mitochondria health seems to be key to fighting the cancer cells that is in the body of each of us today. That is the orgin of most of the supplements I mention in my blog. I do not have the understanding of cancer risks and causes that I desire.
I agree with you about the risks that may come with processed food made in a plant.
Best of success and welcome to MFP forums.

Oh, your question - is it possible?
Well, first off, there are people doing it who are not only not dead, they actually seem to be enjoying life. And some of them are getting up there in years. So, yes, of course it is!

In fact, despite all the tiresome hand-wringinng and doom-saying in the unsolvable nutritional mini-wars (carnivores vs. vegans, LC vs. LF, fiber appreciators vs. loathers), there are people in every camp who seem to prosper.
How can this possibly be? It may mean that people are more varied, more adaptable, more observant, and more informed than we're given credit for..
Or maybe the commonalities of sensible eaters are more important than we've realized - avoid processed foods, sugar, and chemicals, don't eat more than you really need, and figure out for yourself which diet(s) work(s) well for you!
