Good news on bloodwork! Weight loss is slowing though....

I started low carb about 3 1/2 months ago after getting a wake up call that I was pre-diabetic. I tried following keto, but probably didn't do it completely correctly, but I do keep my carb count to less than 30 per day. I've lost 18 pounds and had my bloodwork done a couple of weeks ago and it came back all good. Blood sugar is great! My doc says keep up what I'm doing. No longer pre-diabetic. My weight loss is a bit slow now though. Trying to get past the 18 pounds...any tips? I have 35 more pounds to lose. Thanks!

The only way to do keto "wrong" is to eat too many carbs to metabollically process so you re no longer in ketosis the vast majority of the time, IMO. My guess is that you are, at least mostly, ketogenic at 30g of carbs.
Congratulations on your success so far! Normal blood glucose is great! And you've lost about 6 lbs per month - also great!
Weight loss will slow as you approach your goal. That's normal. Some will adjust and lower calories again to keep it faster. Others will rotate foods for a short time (higher or lower calories or carbs or proetin) just for a change - sometimes that seems to help the body get losing again. Others may add exercise, which could result in a slowed scale but will cause inches to be lost - the important thing. This is where before and after photos or measurements come in handy. And then others will just wait it out; it could be a short slow down or the beginning of the need for patience for a longer slow down.
What you were doing was working so chances are that it will continue to work unless you lost your calorie deficit.

Focus on the fact that you have properly address the "hair on fire" emergency of your pre-diabetic blood sugar. That is a huge success. Weight is a low-level concern compared to metabolic and other health issues. Your body will address those first. Keep eating right and watching those macros, and the weight will come off. It might not fly off as fast as you desire, but it will come off eventually.
Losing more than a pound a week is nice, but it won't be sustainable all the way to your goal weight. Expect it to slow and glide into the goal at its own pace. You have enough to go that a pound a week is probably still doable, but your body might be taking a temporary break before getting back to shedding those pounds. Little breaks and slow-downs in weight loss is not only normal, it is almost a certainty. I don't know of anyone who didn't experience periods where they leveled out or slowed down dramatically on their way to success.4 -
you could also try IF, even the lower scale say 14/8. It's only skipping breakfast really or pushing it a bit later. I'm finding it ok to do as with the higher fats on Keto I'm really not hungry, mind you I'm not within 18lbs of my goal1

Thanks! I don't eat after 6pm, so I am definitely ready for breakfast at 7am. LOL!0 -

If I could show you just how much personal research I have done, how many links I have in a bookmark labelled 'LCHF', how much I have read (an awful lot of which was just so scientifically complex it went straight over my head!) how many videos I have watched, and how much I've learnt here, your eyes would boggle.
I have much I keep referring to, and many people I admire (quite a few here!) for the depth of their knowledge, dedication and the time they take to explain and outline information - Can't get enough of it, ever. And you never stop learning....
