I’m new to Keto...can anyone recommend a calculator that is accurate in determining marcos? Also, trying to figure how to figure out net carbs...any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Net carbs is simply total carb grams less fiber grams. That being said, on keto, I count total carb grams, not net.

I guess I’m trying to understand which is better? And how many I should max out at either way

I thought net carbs is total carbs - fiber - sugar syrup like Erythritol. This is what I got off a Quest Bar with 4 net carbs: Total carbs 23 g, Fiber 14 g, Erythritol 5 g. 23-14-5=4 net carbs

Everyone is free to make up their own mind on what to count but I’ll just add the Dr Michael Eades first introduced the idea of net carbs in his book Protein Power. He specifically introduced it so that people would stop limiting vegetable intake in an effort to get a lower and lower number thinking low carb is good so even lower must be better. He believes green leafy vegetables are important and wanted to encourage his patients to eat more of them but he recognized that they wanted to report very low carb intake for really no other reason than it made them feel like they were awesome with as low a number as possible.
It was a mental game he created so they would eat more green leafy vegetables.
He has said that he hates that it began showing up on packages of low carb foods where sweeteners and added fiber was being subtracted so the products could be marketed as low carb.

except of you are in the UK, as all foods here follow EU labeling and that's net carbs with the fiber counted separately already so you don't deduct anything and its easier to use net carbs as that's what the labels show, or easier for me anyhow!
