Woo! Actually managed to prep the November spreadsheet lol. Thanks @WifiresGettingFit for doing all the months since pretty much forever
I added in a change someone suggested. Everything lines up now.
So what are your November goals?
Mine:
1) Get to goal weight! (omg I'm sp close. I set out for it in 2013 so its a long time coming!!)
2) Start exercising again.
3) Cook properly more often.

1) Switch from outdoor walks to trips to the gym.
2) Minimal, if any, gain. I don't hit 2nd Trimester until middle of November.
3) Eat better! Stock the house with healthy snacks to satisfy cravings and hunger.
4) Finally share the news with the world...ie Facebook!

@VeryKatie OMG I'm shocked. Let me just pick up my mouth from the floor. j/k hahaha =P You're so very welcome, was glad to help and will be glad to do it anytime in the future if needed.
My November goals are pretty much the same as October, just lose something. haha0 -
Goals:
1.Low carb-dont let the sh!tstorm that is my life this year make me eat crap because the next disaster strikes. Eat mindfully at thanksgiving, and be as low carb as possible.
2. Keep up my stretching
3. Lose 3#...which would be 1870 -
Goals: Lose weight, don't gain it like I do EVERY Thanksgiving season. *le sigh* I love stuffing and pies.
Get pregnant. Continue making progress on the house. (Hubs just finished patching the foundation stucco which had developed holes.) Get out and enjoy the beautiful fall mountains. Get ,myself to a gym. Starting at 163. Excited for SheilAnne over sharing the good news. And yes, cooking at home more sounds good @Verykatie. @Kirstie155 3# you can do it!0 -
@alioth Thanksgiving is going to be hard, but fortuntaly I wont be hosting, so I wont be harboring all the food! I'll make a turkey for us to nom on for leftovers, and leave out the other leftovers! I might do the usual carbs for the day, but I might bring an alternative item instead? Not sure where my willpower will be yet, haha! Scale dropped, Im 188.8 today! Totally gonna nail my goal this month...so Im gonna update it to challenge myself while Im over here feeling so motivated for the first time in a long time!

@Kirstie155 Good for you! Hooray! 5# you're already down 1! Also, not hosting here. We have been summoned by the MIL. We are making green bean casserole. I kinda wanna make something else too, but last time, nobody ate what I brought. She really only wants to eat her son's cooking. Maybe I should make something and lie and say he made it? Anyway, at least she isn't going to harass me about not being pregnant. They had the talk, so she knows we're trying but haven't had success. She's been good ever since.0

@alioth ....she wont eat the food you make?! What is that about, Im sure youre an awesome cook.
My mom lives 2 miles away and so does my MIL, my sister is about 7 miles away and her in laws are super close too, so holidays are always crazy seeing everyone because the in laws dont all come so we have to divide the time between houses and coordinate when Ill be at my inlaws vs when my sister will be at hers...,but pretty simple really bc we are all so close since we dont have to travel,. Thats why it doesnt matter really who hosts...we usually end up running home to grab some ingredient "oh no, im out of turkey stock!...can you run home and grab some?" Ha, at least I dont have to clean my house for company

@Kirstie155 I don't know! Josh says that out of all the girlfriends/spouses of him and his brother, she likes me best. But she still views me with deep suspicion. I was really hurt last Thanksgiving after she wouldn't even try a single bite of the pound cake I brought. This year, I'm prepared for it. I now know she also is freaked out by any food that isn't down home country style. Salt, pepper, and butter or bacon fat are her main seasonings. To eat a salad is a huge sacrifice for her. Heh. Your Thanksgiving sounds really fun. This year and last year, my parents are going to be in the Philippines for a mission trip. They are pastors.0
-
Ah, Thanksgiving.
Good thing mine is over and done with already lol. Man. Holidays are so much more stressful now.0 -
Pound cake is made up almost entirely of butter. She should have loved it!
Katie, why is it harder now?0 -
Well, my November is off to a rocky start. How is everyone else doing?0
-
@Kirstie155 because if Keith misses a nap or bedtime by one hour he screams for 2 hours and is SO hard to get to sleep... and Chris's family doesn't seem to understand that and set times for things at difficult times and still get mad at us for saying no.
@WifiresGettingFit I haven't logged a morsel
! And I'm gaining weight. And so close to that stupid goal (which I realize I am not going to look as I hoped. Need to lift weights... and for my skin to shrink more). 0 -
@VeryKatie it's so exciting that you're so close to goal! You'll recover from the past few days quickly. I think I remember that you used to do StrongLifts. Would you be able to do that again?
@Alioth that sounds so stressful about your MIL! I can't believe she won't eat your cooking.
@Kirstie155 good job losing already this month! I'm kinda jealous of the closeness of your whole family.
@WifiresGettingFit keep up the motivation! I saw your October loss. Great job!
@SheilAnneSmith so exciting to share the news with the world!
My goals for this month are:
Lose 4 lbs (really want to get closer to goal before I go home for Christmas). SW is 130.
Do SOMETHING active 4 days a week
Meal plan! I just signed up for a program called Real Plans yesterday that gives you recipes and builds shopping lists for the week. It's supposed to be a little more customizeable than Mealime. It costs, so if it doesn't end up changing anything I'll cancel it.
Thanksgiving shouldn't be TOO much of an issue for me because I'm not even sure we're going to have Thanksgiving dinner. And if we do it's going to be with people who are strangers to me, so I probably won't get too carried away. We gave up on flying home for Thanksgiving since it isn't worth $1600 to be home for 3 days (holiday time flights are soooo expensive). Instead we do a driving distance western tour of some sort. Last year we went to Moab, UT. This year we're going to New Mexico. Probably going to use the rainy day today to plan that out, in addition to grocery shopping for the week.0 -
@VeryKatie Just take it one day at a time, you've got a lot going on at the moment, you'll get there!
@pezhed Thank you for the encouragement!
Awesome goals!
I think we only have one Thanksgiving dinner to go to on the actual day which will be at my parents and then we'll do something with my husband's family that weekend. I've been getting better at not snacking as much while at my parents so I think (hoping) that I should be able to keep things in check this holiday season. If not, it's one day so not going to fret too much about it. Progress is progress, at least that is what i keep telling myself. haha0 -
I made it back from my trip to Texas. I didn't log a single day but walked my feet off and the morning after getting back am only up 1.5 pounds and am hopeful some of that is just water.
I came home exhausted and with a cold, so imagine I'll be laying pretty low this week. The exhaustion hasn't started to let up yet and was in full-force the whole conference/vacation. I also struggled with not being able to always have quality snacks on hand, so I had at least once where I felt like blood sugars crashed hard waiting for them to serve lunch. I was miserable--migraine, hands shaking, ect. I'm pretty diligent about eating/snacking every 2-3 hours when I'm at home and in control of my schedule, it wasn't good when I couldn't do that anymore. I'd be happy to not take another "vacation" for a long while, I wish I had been home instead of on the road most of the trip.

@SheilAnneSmith Hope you feel better soon!0

@pezhed Great goals. And your Thanksgiving plans sound really fun!
@SheilAnneSmith Wow, please take care of yourself with those snacks. It does not sound fun at all. Hope you get some rest!0 -
@SheilAnneSmith that doesn't sound like a fun "vacation" at all! Glad you are back home and hope you can rest up to recuperate!0

Welp, failed again and weight is still moving in the wrong direction. I’m above 133 now which is only 5 pounds shy of where I was after Christmas last year, and 10 pounds above where I was the last time I was home. I’m sure my Grandma will be pleased that I’m no longer “falling off” but I would love to get rid of a few of these pounds before I go home!0
