Went to my local Costco today. I found pickled greenbeans, a local product. I got the medium because that was all they had. Nice and spicy. 4 beans = 5 cals. 1 gram of carb but 1 gram of dietary fiber, so net is zero. They are so freaking tasty I can barely stay out of the jar.

So I decide to check the website,
bolderbeans.com
they have some other interesting products. Like Benny's Original Meat Straws Smokin' Chipotle. They have made their products to be used for Bloody Marys. I'm not into that, but come on a meat straw? Don't you feel you really need those in your life???? I'm looking at you @cstehansen >:)

I finally got a chance to look at these online. $9 for 5 straws.....plus shipping.....probably not worth it to me. Maybe as a novelty item.

What might be sucked up through a meat straw - bone broth, maybe? Dilly beans (home made version) are good, but I prefer pickled asparagus myself. I was never a huge fan of green beans except for those freakishly long ones used in Chinese food. Sounds like a decent carb amount for yumminess if you don't get carried away. Don't forget that they round the numbers so if you eat the whole jar, it might be more than you think ;)

I'm deliberately staying away from mmultanen's post, lol. >:)

canadjineh, the beans are pickled with hot peppers, they are very spicy (my weakness flavor), so much so you can't sit down and eat the whole thing. I am considering trying my hand at making them. I was just so excited to find a fun keto food in the wild (Costco). When I checked out the website, it was clear these folks are serious about bloody Marys. The straws cracked me up and I had to share this knowledge. o:)

    Pickled asparagus does sound awesome.

Pickled asparagus is delicious. Expensive but delish. My 8-year-old would eat the whole jar at once if I let her.
