I am thrilled to share photos of tropical plants and flowers. I do not know the names of these plants5 -
It's so cold here and I am in drive thru I am tempted to wear one of my Dec sweaters with snowmen on them. I shall stay strong and after seeing your flowers go for something in hot pink and hope the color warms me. Exercise done till later.2

Travelled most of today, so I'll fall back to one of my old favourites.
You cannot out exercise a bad diet.
I know in the past a few have tried.
It seems to be in the popular culture that the only way to lose weight (or manage weight) is endless hours in the gym or doing long distance cardio. Research seems to shows that nothing is further from the truth. A little bit, properly done, regularly is more than enough.
When I started on my journey of weight maintenance, I thought I could get there by exercise alone. I at least formed the basis of an exercise habit well before I started with MFP. In 3 months I lost 2 kg. Once I started tracking in MFP and making small changes to my eating, I was losing more than 1kg a week.
Does anyone else have similar stories of how they have sabotaged the good work of exercise/activity with poor eating?

Exercised?: Yes. Walking between flights and strength exercises.
Calories?: Yes (for now under 24 hour value - but 35 hour day not over)
Tracked?: Yes.
Will take today as a pass day today (first since July - despite 3 x Yes).
Travel sleep has been erratic, exercise sporadic and tracking as best as I can.
4:00pm here in UK and all I want to do is sleep (3:00am from where I started yesterday). Will finished getting myself settled so I can work tomorrow then crash. May have more food, may not.
Apologies for not catching up on reading and responding to threads.

Well a terrible day today, it all went wrong as soon as it started so I am surprised I held this challenge together today, felt sure it would be a pass day.
Stayed within calorie goal and all logged.
30 minutes walk and 30 minutes on static bike. I nearly talked myself out of doing the bike today but found the motivation from somewhere.
Have a good evening all.3 -
Exercise - Yes Pilates and dog-walking

I have (to my shame and disappointment) never been an exercise fan, so have never been motivated to use exercise to control my weight. I do some exercise now, as I want to improve my fitness.2 -

At craigo3154. I’m a good example of sabotaging a good workout with poor eating habits. Finally now, after 3 years of working out 5 to 6 days a week, for about one and a half to two hours daily, I figured out diet needs to be in control. I have gone up and down on the scale. I’m so sick of it. I watch other people at the gym who don’t work out half as much as I do, and they look fantastic. Diet and exercise go hand-in-hand.

It seems that I am on a banana theme. I spent most of today at a rustic home in the Costa Rican mountains. Lunch was very rustic. The cook prepared an odd mixture of macaroni+ham+tomato sauce as the entree. The fresh veggie salad was marvelous in presentation and flavor. I focused on the salad.
Exercise: at least 70 minutes of walking today

Retracting pass day since no more eaten on the 20th, so remained under.
Crashed from 4:00pm UK time to 3:00am UK time. Long haul international travel really takes it out of you.

I went six months of two hours a day exercising and lost one pound. The only way I lose weight is by tracking my calories and making better choices.0
