Welcome UAC December Members!
Some of you have been with this challenge for months and some are brand new. I can tell you that it is one of the hardest challenges to stay with throughout the entire month. FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS!! Log every BLT (Bite, Lick, Taste). Stay strong and true to yourself....YOU WILL SUCCEED!!
Please feel free to share as much information as you feel comfortable sharing about yourself with the rest of the group. I look forward to getting to know all of you a little better. GOOD LUCK!

New to this challenge. I have used MFP in years past, but fell off the wagon. I turn 40 in a month and have a family vacation planned in February. I'd love to get fit and just feel good inside and out. I need help staying motivated and pushing me to get things done. I have a son who is very active I sports (currently practices 4-5 times a week). So, it's very easy for me to say there is. I time for me!5

Hi everyone! I'm terrible at logging my food, eating reasonably, and starting active. I had my gallbladder removed last week and hope this group can help me stay accountable and inspire me to be healthier.7

Good morning! I love a challenge. And need things like this to stay focused. I am looking to lose 30 lbs. by summertime. I'm just ready to shed these pounds once and for all. I want to feel more confident wearing clothes that hug my body. I just want to have more energy and sleep better. I also plan on journaling a page everyday during this month. Just freewriting... whatever I think of , I'll write down. And shred the paper if necessary afterwards. LOL6

Hello! I've consistently logged all of my calories on MFP for over a month straight now, and have lost 25 pounds in the past three months through consistent diet and exercise. I'm half way to my goal of losing 50 pounds now, but would like some company for the journey. I'm looking forward to seeing more progress for myself, and for everyone else in this group!8

Hello! I'm 5'1" from Ohio and my goal is to lose 30lbs by June 2018. The most difficult thing for me to manage is absolutely my diet and staying on track (I'm not consistent with MFP), so I look forward to this challenge for some support and motivation!6

Hi! I’d like to join this group. I’m renewing my vows after 25 years of marriage in March and need lots of motivation as I want to lose at least 30 pounds by then.7

Hi - I'm so glad to see you all here. I've been up and down the scale since I was a teenager, and it's time to not diet, but be healthy. I think this is a great place to start building healthy habits.4

Hello all! I am 3 weeks postpartum and am ready to lose the rest of the pregnancy weight and then some! I want to get back to my active lifestyle (baby willing) and would love to be comfortable enough to wear a bathing suit next summer so I can take baby to the lake, pool, etc and enjoy with her and my family. I have a long way to go - about 50 pounds total, but I am hopeful that joining this group will aid me in my journey!6

Brand new to the group this month for December! Loved the description and the motivation and accountability that comes with it. Tracking/logging food intake is new for me as I have a busy work life so this app is wonderful!4

Hi everyone. This will be my first time participating in a challenge. I really have a hard time starting on a diet. I've been wanting to reduce my calorie intake and be more active since september but even though I ate healthy during the day, I ended up binge eating every night. The first 10 days is very important for me because it takes around 10 days for me to adapt to a diet. As for exercise, I don't like exercising at all and since a 20-minute daily activity is mandatory in this challenge, I will be forced to do it. I am thinking about letting my dog walker go so I could guarantee completing the daily exercise by walking my dog. She is extremely aggressive towards other animals and I get so angry when she pulls the leash and drags me, that's why I wasn't going for a walk with her I am 31 years old, living in istanbul. I am a bank lawyer but I am quitting my job this week because I am thinking about changing my practice area. I won't start working right away, I feel like I need a break for a few months. I will try not to go out much during this time because I eat and drink a lot when I am spending time outside. I wish everyone good luck on their journey.5

Not 100% confident I can achieve ultimate accountability as I detest exercise; but this group sounds interesting. I am a senior in upper 60's. Originally, lost 40 pounds in 2011 using caloriecount.com (no longer available) for tracking; and actually was a bit too lean before I finally determined calories needed to maintain an ideal weight. I was so very disappointed when caloriecount was no longer available as I had put so much effort into personalizing it for my needs. Since initial loss from all time high, I re-gained 10 pounds over ideal weight and thought it best to start tracking, again, before weight became a serious issue, again. Have lost 4-5 pounds this month tracking with MFP, so I have only another 4-5 pounds to reach goal which will, hopefully, be in December. Perhaps the ultimate goal for me should be consistent tracking for maintenance. My personal best wishes are extended to everyone who has taken the initiative to participate and lead a healthier lifestyle. Kindest regards.3

I would like to join the December challenge, 28 years old from Canada. I really want to lose 20lbs , it is not even a big amount to lose, but I cant seem to lose it and I'm tired of feeling like a failure because of it. If this challenge can aid my goals, then I'm all in.5
-
Hello everyone, I am joining this challenge for many reasons but the main one is that I want to start loving myself, I want to be proud of myself and I want to have peace. I'm tired of thinking about my weight and feeling miserable and a failure because I can't control it. It controls me and that is hard to admit to the world.8

Hi, I'm Trixsey and been with the UAC since July.
A little about myself. I'm 39, a mother of two teenagers and a slave to two woofies, and I'm from the UK.
I gained weight after my second pregnancy, which never seemed to shift, but I was comfortable with it, being in the 10 stone mark. After losing both my parents and my beloved dog within just a few years of each other, I gained more weight due to grief and depression.
I slowly crept up to 13 stone (182 pounds)and in a size 16/18 UK dress size.
I didn't leave the house in over a year and it wasn't until I got another dog, that I started to venture out again.
That is all now in the past, I've become a lot more active, I took up jogging which although almost killed me at first, lol, I now jog every morning for half hour before I start my day.
I love walking and walk my dogs (i have two now) every day and we go for miles over the fields.
I'm currently 9 stone 7 pounds (133 pounds) and my goal weight is 9 stone (126 pounds) and I know with the help of the UAC I'll meet my target weight soon enough.
I also join in challenges on the fitbit so if you have one and would like to join in, feel free to add me as a friend...

Hi Everyone!
My name is Lauren and I'm really looking forward to being a part of this group. I have my workout routine down pretty well but I keep slipping up when it comes to my eating. My ultimate goal is to lose about 50 lbs by the end of Summer 2018 and I really do well when I have a strong sense of accountability. When I came across this group it seemed perfect so I thought I would give it a try! December is a tough month with all the holiday parties so I really hope this will keep me on track the entire time If I do well, I will definitely stick with this group each month.
Here's to keeping each other accountable and giving it our best!6 -
