I developed hospital acquired pneumonia and pancreatitis about 10 days after my RNY in 2015. I spent 4 nights/5 days in the hospital recovering; they wanted to keep me one more night but I was going nuts in there. The first 2.5 days were brutal but then I made a pretty quick recovery. It took me longer to recovery from my re-hospitalization than from my initial surgery.
