When did you start working out after surgery, and what did you start with? I am not supposed to lift over 10lbs for another 4 weeks, so weight lifting is obviously not something I am going to jump into. what about yoga at 2 weeks out? will the bending and stretching hurt my new sleeve?

I was told not to do more than walking for the first 4 weeks, then I added in elliptical, and I was told I could start doing strength training at 6 weeks but to definitely start slowly. I personally would think two weeks out is too soon for yoga.

I started running (couch to 5k, which starts very slowly) at a month out.

I started ten pound dumbbells this week (week5). I am also walking and hiking. My doc released me for all normal activity that doesn’t hurt. Lifting can’t exceed 20 lbs for two more weeks.

I started out walking about a week after surgery. The more walking the better. It actually made me feel better. Once I was cleared for strength training I immediately started so I could tone as much as possible. But please take it slow! I started out walking a mile and it wasn't a fast paced mile just a stroll....then built it up from there.
