I’m 43 and have just over 60lb to lose. I have a few medical conditions from a injury 13 years ago that left me on morphine and problems with mobility in my right side. Some days are good others I’m stuck in bed unable to move. I’m recently separated and have two children (6and 12). 6yr old has adhd and is a huge handful. My pain leaves me very depressed a lot of the time along with loneliness. With no family or friends for support I want to get this weight gone to make me feel I can achieve it and make me feel good. I’m looking for both Fitbit and mfp friends with similar weight to lose that also struggles with getting their steps and life . There’s no point me competing challenges with those that do 20 plus steps in a day as I can sometimes barely get 5. Fingers crossed xx

I'm not a trainer or life coach, but I would recommend baby steps at first. That seems to work well for me when I put my mind to it. I have ups and downs with my progress but I don't let it get me down. Set realistic achievable goals for yourself. Start small until you see how it fits into your life's challenges, then increase slowly. I set a weekly, monthly, and an overall goal when I started. If I met a certain goal, I rewarded myself, usually a cheeseburger on the weekend or something like that. If goals weren't met, I stuck with the plan until I did. I changed everything about my lifestyle from exercise to my diet, and it worked...until I pushed too hard and injured myself. Now that I'm getting back into it, it's baby steps again. If you can accept that there will be hurdles, setbacks, and disappointment at times, BUT not let it stop you from trying, you will eventually succeed. No matter what, don't stop. Good Luck!!

Hi all, am sending out invites to a bunch of you.
I own a Charge2 since this week, before I had a TomTom Runner, but it was too big for my wrist.
Looking forward to seeing your updates and remember, every step counts!
If anyone wants to add me: https://www.fitbit.com/user/6CJN4N
I'm 34 y/o from Belgium and I average 6000 steps a day (9000 when I go for a run 3 times a week).0 -
