dvd question

I'm not sure I can really explain what I want to know but will give it a try. Are there any dvd's that the walks are not interrupted? What I mean is that it seems that there is no definite start & end for each mile segment. Here's an example - I don't like the slowing down at the end of a mile & then speeding back up again to do the next mile. I would like a dvd that has a definite start/stop for each mile where the cooling down, stretching is for that particular mile.

I feel zichab is like the guru of Leslie dvd' s. I feel the older versions may be what you're looking for . YouTube some of her stuff to see if you like it before you purchase the DVD.0

The 4 Mile Super Challenge has no breaks in it. Like 2020pinktogo said, it's an older workout. You can still get it on Amazon. It might be on youtube as well. Just remembered, Walk Your Belly Flat (2009) and 3 Mile Weight Loss Walk (2007) are 3 mile walks, no breaks. I've had these for quite a while but I bet they are still available at Amazon.
Hope this helps.0 -
Thanks for the info @AnnofB1

One suggestion is to look for older, and newer, Leslie DVDs at your public library. This way you can try them out before looking for them and perhaps purchasing. I have done that many, many times.
And as Ann wrote, check out Walk at Home on YouTube.
Start! Walking At Home with Leslie Sansone: 3 Mile Fast Paced Walk, (Available new in original package as originally sold, on Ebay for a good price). (Amazon for higher price, made on demand per the 'notice' under product information) This is the one was made for Exercise TV in cooperation with the American Heart Assoc. So there is some information about heart health included on the disk.
3 Mile Slim & Sleek;pilates inspired (available on Ebay and used DVDs on Amazon's 'buying choice section')
5 K With a Twist (Ebay and Amazon 'buying choice section')
Leslie Sansone: Walk Away the Pounds Ultimate Collection (Several workouts on one DVD, includes the 4 Mile Super Challenge and Advanced Walk (3 miles), both are in the "Express Series" and are awesome workouts. Ann mentioned the 4 mile one above.
(available on Ebay and Amazon 'buying choices' section.
Leslie Sansone: Walk Slim: "4 Fast Miles" DVD and the Walk Slim "3 Fast Miles" DVD (both are at Ebay as well as Amazon 'buying choices' sections for each DVD)
Buying choices is area under the product if available from private sellers kind of similar to Ebay.
As far as I recall these are one continuous workouts without the slow downs and start up at each mile.
These are oldie goldie workouts that I am really glad that I have, as well as the suggestions that AnnofB made above that I have also.
I have bought these, and other older workouts new and used from various sources over the years including Ebay and Amazon. Also I have also found older Leslie DVDs at local DVD/ CD resale shops.
Hope this helps, and that others have more suggestions.

I'll throw this out there too. Netflix. Netflix has fitness DVD's including Leslie's. A lot of older ones back from the early 2000's. The newest one I saw was from 2011.1

Thanks to all of you for the info. I knew I could depend on all of you for that.2

I didn’t know Netflix has Leslie Videos... that’s so good to know. Under which section (subheading) would I find her?0

Under DVD, then Sports & Fitness, subgenres Workouts. You can also just type her name into their search engine.0

Several weeks ago I discovered this one at my local library: "The Burn to the Beat Walk". 3 miles.
Each mile is faster, but it is one continuous workout without any slowing down or stopping at the end of each mile, just a definite change in the speed of each mile. (first mile is 3 mph, the middle mile is 4 mph, and the last mile is 5 mph).
It is part of the 'Just Walk' series.

Sounds like something I might like with the increasing speed. Is this one with just Leslie or with a group?0 -
@VeggieGirlforLife, this DVD is with a group. Some are familiar faces in the the Just Walk series, and others are new walkers. Also this DVD has the music only option.
