So I lost 12 pounds in my first month on Keto and nothing in the last 2 weeks. My macros haven’t changed, 15-35g of net carbs only from veggies. 1,600-1,700 cal a day( my old norm was 2500+ of garbage calories) what can I do?! Anyone else had this problem?

I did not lose the first pound of weight until day 45 of this WOE so it varies from person to person.

It is funny now but I thought people were making fun of me being fat when they said some nice about my weight loss while not losing even one pound. I had lost 1 inch on my belt and my fat face had started to melt when I finally looked in the mirror to see what they were talking about. They were not making fun of me after all.

While I am down about 60 pounds I have tried to stop after every 10% weight loss and regain a few pounds for up to six months. Actually this happened without me giving it much thought over the past 3 years. LCHF addressed my cravings after the first month so maintaining is not something I have to focus on and have been in the 190-195 range for several months now but all health markers are continuing to improve.

I am seeming more and more about the Keto way of eating in the news feeds so maybe it is becoming helpful to even more that need this WOE.

Thanks so much to both of you. I really appreciate you taking the time to reply. I weighed myself this morning and I’m down about .5lb. I know I just need to trust the process. I just got worried that I was doing something wrong. I’m only 45 days in and so 13lbs total loss over that time period is pretty great! I’ve been taking note of other subtle changes like my clothes loosening up and an increase in self control around food. (Huge for me as a binge eater). I’m setting up a mini home gym this week and I’m looking forward to burning off some extra calories now that my body is feeling more energized.

    Thank you ladies!!

If you can don't weigh yourself but take measurements (I can't do this, but would be better for piece of mind). Water fluctuations can drive one crazy and the scales, even the best, I have a very good one, aren't super precise. If you are doing the right thing it will pay off. If you work out though as in lifting etc. know that eventually adding muscle will counter the fat loss. But you will be so much smaller. Hang in there!

Your body needs time to recalibrate - 12lbs is great! Weight loss is not linear - you won't lose every single week. It will come in big and little drops over time... you just have to stick with it!
Also when the scale stops moving, you might still be losing inches, or healing other unseen issues inside.
    Trust and patience

Thanks for the wisdom. I’ve never put any genuine effort to losing weight so all of this is a bit new to me. If I take what the scale says out of the equation, my body and mind FEEL improved. There is no looking back for me. I’m effortlessly committed.
