Hi! First time posting here. I have been the same weight for 2 years and would like to tone up/drop 5-7 lbs. I have a hard time consistently cutting cals lower than 1800, as my habits/hunger keep it around there. Would love any suggestions to bust plateau.

The number on the scale is progressing more quickly than I thought it would. I’ve been pretty good about tracking and meeting my caloric goals — but the next goal is to shift my focus to building muscle. I added body fat stats to this, which I’m going to check back in on at the end of the month.

I am up a couple of pounds of water weight for today's weigh in. I had a migraine last night and medicated it with carbs. I should be down a bit by next week through.

Started weighing myself daily for kicks and giggles! I'm hoping to officially shed that pesky pound that I've lost and re-gained over and over throught Feb. It's off as of today... Will it stay off for next week? Lets hope!

@Elisabuffy19 Have you tried Intermittant Fasting? I've been trying the 16:8 method for a few weeks now, and it has really made it easier to stick to my goals. I'm still working out some kinks on it myself to see if I want to stay with it long term, but It's worth a try! There are tons of threads about it to check out.

Tomorrow I am starting Darbee.com 30 days of change, total abs, and 30-days-of gravity. If anyone would like to join and do accountability let me know. These challenges/workouts are free downloadable .PDF's. Their website is full of great stuff, I would highly suggest visiting.

March 8: Worked out everyday since March first except yesterday (March 7), I had a late night Tuesday and school Wednesday night. I’m really starting to feel stronger and better about myself. I’ve cut back on cardio and really focus and get into my strength training. Can’t wait to see what this week, month, future holds for me. Wishing all you ladies the best of luck, and hope you all reach your goals.

    Hello All!!

I hope you are all having a good week! I dipped down to 152 but ate a little extra after that, so I'm at 153 approx today. I'm really tight on a budget until April, so if any of you have cheap and easy vegetarian recipe ideas please message me!

Also another random request----as we approach swimsuit season, I am hoping to be in a bikini. However I get horrid ingrown hairs in my bikini area. I have tried EVERYTHING. I don't even shave. I wax every now and then. But my skin is so dang sensitive. Terrible little red folliculitis bumps all over. If any of you have a product/body wash that works for you I would love to know!!

Have a happy and healthy weekend ladies!

Hello everyone! It's my first time posting but I could use the accountability because I'm 6 pounds to my first goal weight! I haven't decided on a final goal weight, simply because I've been overweight or obese all of my adult life and I'm moving into unknown territory and don't know what that would look like. I lost 63 pounds in 2016 before getting pregnant again and gaining the weight back, which I'm now losing.

    Height: 5'1"
HW: 195? I stopped weighing after that point.
    SW March: 148.2
Ultimate goal: 130 would be outstanding.
    March goal: 145
Short term goal: Wear a bikini on vacation in Costa Rica in May and feel great about it!

    March 1st: 148.2
    March 6th: 146.8

I'm not sure how to feel about this week's weight loss. 2 pounds seems high especially for not feeling any different. I'm just worried about where the weight loss is coming from. Maybe my weigh in next week will balance things out. Who knows

@Elisabuffy19 , welcome! I've sent you a friend request. :)https://www.iifym.com/iifym-calculator/ is a good place to start to calculate your daily cal allowance, but I'm afraid it will be lower than 1800 unless you are very active.

@gutsnglory6 , it's a nice feeling to see the number drop, isn't it? :) Regarding body fat, I've found that while still losing it's more informative to track fat mass, not percentage. Imagine you lose a pound water weight and your fat mass stays the same, your BF % will go up while actually you haven't gained any fat. Or other way round, like I gained 0.3 kg and BF% stayed the same, but in fact fat mass went up.

@mrsnattybulking , at least you know in advance to expect water weight. :)

@meghanregan97 , challenges sound great, I will have a look at their workouts! There's a tiny typo in your post though, it's darebee.com

@suzfoley , 1 pound is still a result! have a look at trendweight.com , it's really good to see your overall progress free of any daily/weekly fluctuations. This is what mine looks like. The fat line is trending weigth and the dots are daily weigh-ins (they recommend it). See how daily is all over the place, but fat line steadily goes down? It's a sanity saver...
    l8st8iakjuqr.png

@2tall4thisworld , ouch for ingrown hairs... I can't help, but maybe it's worth going to a beauty parlor / dermatologist to see if they can help?

@DomesticKat , welcome! I've sent you a friend request. :) what are you doing in terms of weight loss? any specific diet or just watching your calories? good luck!

@RobinAlex666 , it could be water / "waste". the worst thing is that you lose muscle, but you need to be in high deficit for it to occur...

    Stats time...

    Height: 1m67 / 5'6"
    HW: 64 kg / 141 lbs
    UGW: 57 kg / 126 lbs (20-22% BF)

January SW: 62.4 kg / 137.6 lbs (~34% body fat)
February SW (trending): 60.4 kg & 31.8% (19 kg) BF
March SW (trending): 59.2 kg & 30.5% (18.1 kg) BF
March goal: maintain or lose while losing BF.

    March 2: 58.20 kg / trending: 59.2 kg / 30.5% (18 kg)
    March 9: 58.20 kg / trending: 58.7 kg / 30.2% (17.7 kg)

    5Rxfp1.png

Gotta love trending weight. According to the scale I haven't lost an ounce, but in fact I did lose a pound, almost all of it BF. BF% annoys me a lot though. I have to start recomping, because even if I reach my UGW by losing 2 kg of pure fat, I'd still have 28% (!) BF. Not something I'm aiming for... Still haven't started gym due to extreme lack of time but I did buy Thinner Leaner Stronger to be prepared for lifting when I start in the gym. There's a promo in my gym in March: free personal training, so maybe worth checking out.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi! I have the same issue and just ordered this "magic" powder after watching a few youtube videos. I should be getting it soon and will let you know if it works!! It's apparently a miracle with hair removal/ingrowns.

This is the video I watched:

I'm getting ready for vacation as well- Croatia, Austria & Poland in June!

If the numbers affect you so much I would definitely recommend to focus on trending weight. I just now realize you spoke of gaining 1 pound, not losing it, apologies for misreading. Nice it's gone already! :)

@2tall4thisworld I use an electric razor. It never gives me bumps and it's a whole lot faster than using a normal razor or waxing.

Take this week's measures with a grain of salt! I totally forgot to weigh in yesterday afternoon (I try to weigh evenings), and I don't know if I'll have a chance to tonight, so I grabbed some this morning, and will update if possible. Otherwise on to next week!

    The main things:

I ditched maintenance 4 days early, as I decided the mental loop-de-loops weren't worth it - and I knew from tracking I'd been well above maintenance during my Dad's visit. My choice and worth it.

I've also been really ill, which has really had a massive impact on my body. And while I've been OK at sticking to a fitness schedule, and fine with food (hitting my numbers, etc.), I've been so pumped full of vitamins, medicine, and water that I don't believe anything the scale has been telling me. I know my body's not right, so I'm just rolling with it and trying to heal it as best possible.

I've essentially maintained between this week and last, which is funny, I lost during my overeating week, and maintained during loss. I'm not worrying about it. My guess is results will reappear next week when the health returns to normal... We'll see.

    Just keep MARCHing, right?
