Dr. Eric Berg, other great information on Keto!

    Just watched it. Really good.

Is anyone here doing one meal per day?

No, I am not that advanced yet. Because this is only week two for me, I am just learning and allowing my body to respond to what I have been feeding it, which is usually two meals a day, sometimes I must snack if I feel hypoglycemic. I can say, I am starting to feel better because last week, I struggled with mental clarity (my menstrual cycle was on too which exacerbates the whole issue too).

I can feel my body trying to transition into my new diet. I am thrilled with myself that I have not had any non-keto approved foods in two weeks, such as, potatoes, My favorite sweet potatoes, or any potato chips (my all time go-to-food) or any sweets!

I have not checked to see if I am in true ketosis...I will soon and let y'all know the verdict.

Things I have noticed within two weeks:
    - No more bloating after I eat, and my stomach does not hurt (unless I eat to much cheese...lactose intolerant)
    - I am fuller longer and satisfied
    - I am not as sleepy after I eat like I used to be (due to higher amounts of carbohydrates)
    - I am eating more vegetables than I have in months! :)
    - I feel happy because I know I am trying to better my health.

really liked both of these, some great tips and easy to understand information :)

    Ms.Sally,

These 3 physicians use 3 different methods of a Keto/LCHF diet. I like all 3 of them. However, who I can relate to the most is Dr.KenDBerry. I am using suggestions from all of them to train myself in eating this way, hopefully for the rest of my life. I think month by month I will tweak and figure things out as I go along in my LCHF diet. Especially, if I am not loosing the weight and not feeling great.

I took Dr.KenDBerry's advice and purchased some of the supplements he suggests to take (see video link below)

I like Ole Butter Bob too! ;)

Glad you watched the video links! They sum of the Keto/LCHF without all the confusion.

Hello from Canada! I just started keto this past weekend, loving it so far. There is so much to learn, I am a huge fan of Keto Connect. Where do all of you turn to for good info?

Send me a friend request if you want to encourage each other with this lifestyle.

I like Keto Connect too...I use them for food advice mostly. However, I use multiple resources to help me in my journey. See all of the posted links above (YouTube videos).

When I realized that I feel fuller longer by having less on my plate that was a mindblowing realization for me!
That's amazing that you feel the results after 2 weeks.

Restarting for the final big swoosh. I’ve lost just over 100lbs, maintained that loss since 2013 but stopped short of goal. Now I’m ready to tackle the last, and hardest 20. Feel free to add me as a friend so we can cheer each other on.

I am on week 2 and not lost anything at all, not even the water weight. Did think monthly cycle could have been the issue last week but not seen any progress this week either.
I am finding that I feel full on less so something is working.
Measuring food and tracking carbs etc so no idea what is going wrong

@jonnyman41 - not seeing any change could be discouraging. Do you do any physical activity on top of the diet? Are you in ketosis?

I'm focusing on low carb until I get used to the change and working in to true Keto. Lost 9lbs in 3 weeks so far! I need to get my BP down and doctor says weight loss is key. I also saw low carb benefits for BP as well.

I don't know unfortunately as I have yet to order any measuring sticks. Based on what I am eating I should be but without that check I can't say for sure of course. Exercise wise, normally I am reasonably active but have not been in the last few weeks due to work pressures. I do get my 10 000 steps a day one way or another as I have dogs to walk and I walk more when out teaching but I could be better

I have been doing keto for the last 8 weeks and am only 5lb down. I am keeping to macros and exercising 5/7 feeling frustrated that no weight is coming off. My diary is open if anyone wants to be friends and be accountable. I am in the UK and we count total carbs and we do not have as much low carb or low sugar products but our meat and dairy is fantastic .... I need to lose 42lbs and after watching youtube and reading so much about keto I really thought this lifestyle was for me .... I really do not know where I am going wrong....I am 5'7, a young 51 and am eating 1200/1300 calories of which 5% carbs 75% fat and 20% protein

I'm in the UK too, and it's coming off slowly, so 4lbs 1st week,1lb 2nd week 1lb this week. My only exercise at the moment is walking the dog, 30 minutes or an hour depending on weather at the moment...snow just gone again! I'm quite strict keeping to 20grms of carbs and generally find I'm having two meals a day, because I'm not hungry for more. So I finish eating about 2ish then just drinks until breakfast at about 7.30 Try and walk the dog first thing before breakfast as I'm told it makes your body use stored fat. If I felt hungry I'd eat, because after years of yo yo dieting I'm trying to listen to my body. Hope this helps. Dr. Ken Berry is really good also I love diet doctor really tasty meal ideas, simple and quick to prepare.

Also I'm 63 and way past the menopause, so I believe it takes longer...I don't care I love the food and I'm not going to bed early because I've got cravings and I've run out of 'points' or calories!!

I am UK too but stopped low carb a few days ago as getting nowhere. It did however help with my acid reflux so I am going to try again o think

The main reason I'm doing this is for health, yes I want weight loss too but I'm absolutely convinced that the epidemic rise in the UK in diabetes, heart disease, and Alzheimer's are due to diet and all the wrong information given over the years, I don't have them at the moment and losing the sugar in my diet I think will mean I never have them. 'Cereal killers' is really good on Diet Doctor. I recently heard Barbara Oneil say genetics loads the gun but lifestyle pulls the trigger...apart from all that I actually love how tasty my food is after years of low fat everything!!
