Same I thought, actually kudos on even getting near the animal...as much as I don't want to kill them (and never have), I don't even want to get near them!

Heh. I thought I was going to go mountain biking today. I kind of did. I found a closed gate and went exploring that way. Cosed gate sounds cool but it is not without risk. Beyond a closed gate is a virtual wilderness. But there ain't gonna be nobody driving by if you break your hip bone. You know, landing on your butt. Cactus. There was more cactus than I could appreciate.
Cholla cactus, you don't want to brush up against it when you are riding.
Prickly pears, they are after your ankles.
Yeah, I was going to tell you how beauty the closed gate wilderness experience was.
Windy and cold.
Only 500 of climb.
I think I will hang out with Buddy tomorrow. See if I can teach him music on a penny whistle.

It’s been a very long week. Students are antsy and ready for spring break. I turned my alarm off and reset it for an hour later and get more sleep instead of my usual am workout. Told myself I’ll do it after work. I passed up going out for happy hour to go home and exercise. Then I made a delicious red lentil soup in my instant pot for dinner. Go me!6 -

It is a very cold windy day! I did the horse barn chores and quite a bit of very fast walking (brrrrrrr). I was extremely hungry but had a good snack (Spanish clementines) and made a wonderful mushroom and white bean soup. Yes - in the instant pot! @Crosbinium - we are enjoying our soup. I make red lentil all the time. Delish.5 -

I’m in Central Illinois ( our state) to visit with my frail mother and our family. Tonight, I hosted my step siblings and their spouses at dinner. Intentional Pass Day.
We had a very good family sharing time and lots of laughs. They are the ones who spend the most time and effort caring for their Dad ( my step dad) and Mom.

I just remembered I forgot to log something in my food diary so now it has taken me over my calories.

With many more outings planned the next two weeks, it’s looking unlikely I’ll be able to stick to my calories perfectly...4 -
Pass day today (#2 I think) - went out for lunch before shopping. Found that the restaurant we usually go to, and where I know I can get something that loosely fits my regime, had closed down. Backup plan was to eat at the bistro in the shopping centre. Didn't manage to exercise ( although was walking round the shop for at least an hour), didn't track and estimate well over calories. But we both enjoyed it, and the regime will still be there tomorrow.5

Sigh. Shorts and t-shirt. Snow pants and down jacket and mitts boots tuque scarf... we're still wearing way too many clothes! The sun is sure bright though. Enjoy the air on your skin!4 -
