A positive thought I had this week was: yay! I’m making progress again and yes, drinking lots of water make a difference
A healthy snack/meal I chose this week was: apples and almonds
My most effective workout this week was: oops - I’ve been lazy.

Comments: (Please share any additional information if you'd like) [/quote] Even though I was sick for 2 weeks and had company for 3, I’ve mostly stayed on track. I did stop planning as much and didn’t do my tracking. Tracking really forces me to think about what I’m eating so that break reinforced my determination to get back on board and keep going and the scale this week reflected that. Have a great week everyone!

Still experiencing the nausea, bloating, constipatiob, etc. My ultrasound (gallbladder, liver, pancreas, spleen) came back good, but not really sure what the next step is.

Sticking with the workouts at least.

Sorry for your continuing tummy troubles. My daughter is experiencing similar. It’s very frustrating when the doctors do the tests, the results come back clear and they act like they have done their due diligence and walk away. None of which provides you with a solution. One doctor told my daughter that daily nausea and feeling like her stomach is tearing (a year after her c section) is normal and just “part of getting older” - she’s 32. Anyway, keep looking for the answer. Have you tried a naturopathic physician? — Carol

Positive thought: I've hit the bottom of my challenge goal range a week early! Seriously could not have done it without the motivation provided by having to post here on a weekly basis. 140 is a big milestone for the Brit crowd as it's 10 stone. Here's to 9-stone-something by next week!
Healthy meal: I made some spiced cauliflower soup with the cauliflower that would have gone in the compost if it hadn't been eaten that day. Healthy and frugal!
Effective workout: My son has been off school sick all week. It's hard to even get 10,000 steps when you can't leave the house. Did a 45 min Leslie Sansone workout that my Fitbit logged as 33 minutes of aerobics!

No, I haven’t. I am only just beginning this process and have only been to one appointment with my gastroenterologist. She had really great reviews (actually my mom used to see her too) but I was pretty disappointed. I felt like she didn’t ask me nearly enough questions, just pushed sample packs of drugs on me. She agreed to do the ultrasound after I complained, but doesn’t seem keen on doing any other tests. Not that I want to spend tons of money, but how else am I supposed to figure out what’s wrong with me? I would rather have a diagnosis then try to blindly manage the symptoms with meds.

Speaking of, the sample meds she gave me had TERRIBLE reviews online. I actually have severe emetophobia (fear of vomiting) so anything with a risk of that or that makes nausea worse is a huge NO GO for me. No way in hell am I trying that medicine she gave me.

A positive thought I had this week was: Spring break is almost there.
A healthy snack/meal I chose this week was: Rice cakes with honey ham and cheese.
My most effective workout this week was body cycle.

Comments: Crazy week of school work deadlines, I only got on the body cycle twice. I munched some rabbit ear chocolate/double rice crisp and gummies, the latter mindlessly.

I really over did it over St. Pattys day weekend and I'm still regretting it, I didn't even bother logging because I knew it was going to be awful. It's a new week now so all I can do is move on forward.

Unfortunately most of “western medicine” seems to go with pharmaceuticals even before they know what is wrong. Reading the side effects makes me wonder if the symptoms aren’t sometimes better than the cure. If your insurance will cover, try naturopathic doctor or maybe dietitian/nutritionist. I think they are better at listening. I had gut problems for years until I figured out on my own that it was MSG and nitrites that were my culprits. Good luck, I hope you find a solution soon.

A positive thought I had this week was: I had slacked off for a while, the app I use to trend weight said NA for predicting when I would reach my goal weight. The projected date is now in June! So, I'm back on track. Also, even though my weight went up this week, I stayed within my calories so I am confident it's just a fluctuation.
A healthy snack/meal I chose this week was: I pack lowfat cottage cheese with frozen berries and stevia as a work lunch most days. The berries thaw between when I pack lunch and when I eat it and it's really good.
My most effective workout this week was: Fitnessblender

My most effective workout this week was:Walking a bunch! Doing a fitness challenge at work and in a week I have 111,381 steps. What sucks though is my weigh is up instead of down! Oh well!

Comments: I'm getting into a bad habit of mindless snacking...as in, if it's open, I'm eating it. Just a lot of handfuls of pretzels and Girl Scout cookies and chips and dip. Need to get back to reaching for the grapes!

A positive thought I had this week was: No matter if I meet my goal I'm still working towards it and that is a good thing.
A healthy snack/meal I chose this week was: I've discovered dried figs. It's like eating a fig newton without the dry cake part. Yum!
My most effective workout this week was: I've not felt good most of the week so I haven't worked out. I have continued my physical therapy so at least my hip feels better.

I almost forgot to check in this week since I don't feel good. But, I'm happy to say that I've finally settled on an ultimate goal weight. With much contemplation and soul searching I've settled on 145-147 as my final destination. :) That is only 20lbs more than I weighed in high school and I think I'll be comfortable in my skin at that weight and size. Hopefully we band together for another round because y'all make it easier. I've got people that are here for me regardless of what the scale says.

Have a great week everyone. Be good and kind to yourself this week. <3

A healthy snack/meal I chose this week was: I made a tasty salad with spring mix, shredded carrots, chopped red cabbage, zucchini dill dressing, avocado and sunflower seeds. Super tasty.
My most effective workout this week was: Sunday I got myself to the gym and did a really good strength training workout. I was sore for 2 days so I guess I pushed myself enough.

Comments: It's been a bit challenging this month working out on my own without my trainer. It's a bit of a reminder of what it's like not having one. When I was a the gym on Sunday I was trying to remember new exercises and I couldn't. So I just did the best I could. While I didn't push myself as much as my trainer does, I did good for doing it on my own. Some of the exercises were still challenging while others I'm realizing I may need to go up in weight for. Either way, I miss my trainer but I'm glad I'm still doing what I can on my own. And being proud that what I did made me sore after because it tells me I challenged and pushed my body. Woot!
