Please be careful Chris! Have a hatchet handy just in case...you know...things get out of hand!
149.8 this morning. Hmmm that does not seem right. New battery might be in order. Last one I put in was new, but used! If you get my meaning.
Chris I did eat some milk duds at the movies. But only 13. Counted them out myself. LOL
Shelley0 -
Hatchet in shoulder hatchet sling-thingy. Thanks for reminding me. I will be careful...no telling what he will do.
Fickle batteries. You know, just the thought of 13 milk duds gives me a sugar headache. I am not a chocolate fan. Now, greasy popcorn might have tempted me.
yummm, popcorn!

Chris0 -
I fought it hard yesterday, and said "No!" to a multitude of temptations. Expected a good result and was taken aback to see 177 on the scale this morning, a new new high. sigh.
Watching a TV game show. A question was asked of 100 police officers, "If you discovered the kindly gentleman living next door had robbed a bank 50 years ago, would you turn him in?"
Shelly - for you especially... How many officers do you think said they would turn him in?
Answer tomorrow...
paula0 -
Yes!! I'm dyin'
Chris0 -
Yes! So...Thank you!!!
Let the fun begin. I'm dying!!
Chris0 -
My new diet...

1 -
OMG - not just carbs but deep-fried carbs coated in sugar!!!!! The best food ever. SOB!
They used to have a box every day at work. The kitchen was outside my cubby. If no one else ate them, I'd finish the box off. Can you say "how she gained 317 pounds"? I'm so blessed to have developed a dairy allergy. Most donuts have milk (or dried milk) in them. It's life-saving.
paula0 -
Paula I would sadly do the same thing. And no milk allergies to help me out. Sigh.....and I am fighting hard to stay in my calorie range. And the scale is not budging. Must be all the water.

No popcorn for me Chris. Can't stand them hulls between my teeth! But hubby loves them. Wait you ordered the killer moth for real. Some bodies getting a new toy.
Paula, that is a tough question. Some people would turn in their own grandmother. Others would do it in case someone learned they knew, and would now be in trouble for not turning him in. Were their injuries? Tough one. If he is making a dying declaration to get it off his chest, then no. Gosh I would be so unhappy to learn this. What a dilemma. 90% would turn him in. So many variables here. This is a federal crime. I would lose everything if someone found out I knew and did nothing. I would most likely turn it over to the investigators and hope there is not enough evidence to convict him. This is not a fair question. So many angles.....I am a lousy neighbor.

Shell - The contestants thought only 24% of the officers would turn in the nice old man who'd been a model citizen for the last fifty years. But you are closer - 76% said they would. I wouldn't but then I'm not sworn to uphold the law. An oath is a serious thing.
I'm glad we don't have to choose.
paula0 -
I would get all the plain old fashion donuts and a large milk...then be sick for three days.

We don't even talk to our neighbors. Don't even know their names. Learned a really tough lesson years ago... Maybe I would so I could buy his house so DDD, SIL, Ronan and Bean could move in...okay, just kidding. I probably wouldn't. I'm with Paula on this one.
Shelley...I love popcorn...carry around floss when I eat it!! and YES!!!! The moth should arrive today. Thinking about an attack this afternoon after DDD gets home from teaching her class of unruly kids. May just sneak up, place the purple shamrocks and the moth on her porch, ring the bell and run!!
We'll see.
Chris1 -
144.8 this morning at 5:00.
Chris0 -
175.0 this morning. The bump I expected eventually.0
-
What Friday morning's attack will look like...

bwahahahaa!
Chris2 -
Paula I changed my original guess, 80%, to 90. So many variables. I can see where civilians would say such a low number. When making such a decision you must put the victims first, always. That is how your decision is made. I even told my SIL that I would personally write him a ticket if I ever saw my grandson not wearing his seatbelt again. He may have been unhappy with me but so what. His victims would be more upset. I try to always think of the victims first. Most of the inmates I deal with are manipulators to the extreme. Very few really change. Most are just setting you up to be their next victim.
Chris that is sad that you do not know your neighbors.
Sounds like you must of suffered a bad one. We know most of our neighbors. Some we met because of our dogs, some we met while doing home improvements, yard work or because of my pretty shiny star. Some I am happy to know. Some I try to avoid.
Some have been very helpful. One carried Joey home when he went exploring while we were siding our new garage. Two bring us treats. Rocky shovels their walks. One watches for my live packaged food, or fish.
Chris do tell us how your combat with the moth goes.

Shell1 -
Killer Moth invasion went pretty well...his arrival was suspected as window on porch was open...
DDD saw me place or pick up 'something' under the open window. She was on the couch w/Ronan and could see us approach...SIL opened front door just as KM was being places in strategic position...I leaned against the wall to get his attention off what was happening...HE NEVER OPENS THE DOOR WHEN WE GET THERE!! When leaving I was first out the door and screamed bloody murder 'Killer Moth on porch'...it was great! DDD loved it. Ronan took over as Moth Handler but threw KM over the side of his car seat on the ride to our house. I will return the KM to DDD's house and place it in a 'surprise' place...like under her pillow! Great Fun!!
FYI...There is really a Moth Week at the end of July. We will have a ton of fun with that!!
144.4 this morning at 5:00.
Bad Neighbor story next time.
Taking the boys for a walk now.
Chris0 -
Muahaha, killer moth was a success! I am thinking you can visit DDD and sneak into her bedroom and hang it inside her closet! Then when she opens it, whammy, attack of the KM! Chris this could go on for a few episodes.

Well I bought a pair of Rock Revival pants on line. Hopefully they are only a little small. They are going to be my reward for dropping a size. They really look fun. Kind of hippy meets modern gal. Peace signs on the back pockets, bell bottoms and bling!
Now I need the perfect top. Photo will be forthcoming next week. Stayed in my calories again today. It was hard, DH was munching on mints next to me. Argh! Had to buy a new stove tonight. Went to home depot and ordered one. It is gas. Should arrive in two weeks. Tomorrow should be a sunny beautiful day.

175.2 this morning. Yes I am feeling better. Another test coming this week. A brain MRI. This will eliminate worry that something else could be wrong. After Wednesday I believe my stress will be gone. Thank you all for the good thoughts.2
-
Kathy, I hope everything goes well and you get better.
Shelley, Yea! new pants!! Good job! And good job resisting the mints. BTW...I love my gas stove. Did I tell you the gas stove story? Just came to a conclusion after a year or two or three...pretty damn funny...shows that girls are superior and not to be messed with.
144.0 this morning at 6:00. Day 13 of our streak. Weekends are the hardest. You all know that. Walking w/DH then yoga then challenge exercises then maybe the book store. Like I need another book, right?
Shelley, I like your closet idea for KM...ohhhh...the linen closet...or where the toilet paper is stored!!
Today she is coming over for yoga...DH is on board with trying to get KM in her purse or the backpack she sometimes brings. Will keep you posted.
Chris1 -
Chris now you are thinking outside of the "closet", pun intended.
I do not recall any stove story. This is a replacement for our bottom of the line gas stove. I cleaned the paint right off of the other one. Just nasty. This one has a griddle. Not sure about that feature though. Congratulations on your weight.
And I agree, weekends are the hardest. Rocky bought donuts this morning. Good thing I looked up the calories on them. It was hard to stay within my daily allotted calories. But with lots of hard exercising and no lunch I did.
Chris I am staying in my calories, but they are not clean days. I did water changes on all the tanks today. The molly I put in the large tank had some white thing inner for a few days. Not sure what it was. She has been clean since last Tuesday. I want her to have at least clean concurrent days. Then I should be safe to add the other fish. Wishbone the Ye!low belly regal angel fish is doing great. They sure grow slowly. May 6 will be a year and she is still small. Though healthy.
Kathy I will be thinking of you. Did you make it to your movie?
Shelley0 -
172# - I dropped 3 pounds somehow, what a nice surprise and my hunger is gone, probably due to ((surgery worry) avoidance) distraction. Had to stop my heart control medicine and blood thinners for upcoming surgery; and am practicing relaxation techniques (i.e. being a bump on a log, deep breathing, avoiding news/emails) to avoid arrhythmia.
It feels so cool to not be driven by cravings right now and to have lost a few pounds. Being in control of my weight is a huge factor in my life and feels incredibly uplifting, and then my small world feels like a content, happy, satisfied place.

I've been inspired by a keto-group (I'm not completely keto but do like low-carb).Here's one of the meals they posted. Isn't it beautiful? Filling and satisfying and full of vitamins and protein:

Kathy, SO happy to hear you are feeling better!
Chris, the moth is hilarious!
Shell, fighting the good fight with you! The pants sound darling.
Pulling for us all, my friends!
paula0 -
Sending you good thoughts for tomorrow, Paula. Funny, but when I'm stressed I eat. Good job on the scale. Hope your clothes are fitting better. Looks like you are in a good place.
DDD found the Moth in her purse when they were trying to check out at the grocery store. Bwhahhah! It was great!
We'll just have to wait for the next round.
Stove story...We moved in here five or six years ago. The last two or three years, when I'm near the stove, I smell gas. Tell DH about it. He comes over...can't smell it. Now this is the guy in charge of our drinking water for 30 years...supposed to be able to detect smells in the water. I continue to smell gas. DH can't smell it. DDD can't smell it. I smell it. Make a fuss. I am 'poo poo-d' and put off. Then DH gets frustrated with me and says he doesn't want to call PG&E because they will make us turn off our gas until they can get out here. Talks about all the grief it will cause and what do I want him to do? Christine gets nasty and says, "Do whatever you want." Of course, it's in the nastiest tone of voice you can imagine...he buys a gas detector-thingy that beeps when it detects gas. He brings it into the kitchen and it goes crazy. "Malfunction," he says. Goes away...messes with it...comes back...beepbeepbeepbeep..."Something is wrong with it," he says. Brings it back. Turns on the burner, turns it off...beepbeepbeepbeep...opens the oven door...beepbeepbeepbeep..."Oh, that must be from the top burner," he says. Brings over the fan...blows air into the over...sticks the device in...nothing...he smiles, pulls out the broiler drawer...doesn't get half way in and...beepbeepbeepbeep...he does this about four time before he says, "Must be a leak somewhere." Turns out, the stove is under warranty and they send out a guy with no equipment. He ends up using DH's stuff to find the leak which is at the stove/gas line connection. It was supposed to be wrapped when it was installed but wasn't. The guy used DH's tape to wrap the connection. No more gas smell. Men!!

144.0 this morning at 7:00.
Chris1 -
Good for you, Chris! Ugh! Sometimes I just want to scream.
175 today, back up even though i'm hardly eating. Holding water or whatever. Not going to sweat it right now.
BTW, since I'm lounging around in my old size 3X flannel nightgown, my cloths fit great! LOL!!
paula1 -
Day 1 of 21 day arm challenge - done! Day 1 of Plank challenge- 20 secs - done! I’ve got to start somewhere. Renting a ball machine tomorrow at the Tennis center and hitting as many balls as possible in an hour.
Kathy1 -
Good idea Kathy. I put an arm challenge and a plank challenge up so we could follow along with you!
Thanks, Paula. Hey, I sleep in XL men's t-shirt. Fits great!! Good thoughts coming your way. Be calm tomorrow.

Chris1 -
Paula did I miss something? Are you alright? I sure hope so. Hugs.
And I sleep in DH's shirts a lot.
Worked upper body a lot today. Tomorrow I am going to pay for it. Yep..
