WWYD? Eat salad that you crave or

The macros that you need. My diary says I am over for carbs but I honestly don't know what I ate that was so carb heavy.
I need more protein and fat but I just want a big ole salad!

    when I work out my food for the day I input my main dinner first and add the salad or veg I want to eat as I get my carbs from my veg. I then go to my lunch and see what macros I have left. I struggle with keeping to the protein % rather than the carb % as I like my chicken and sticking to 100g for a main dinner is hard for me ..... or a steak .. wow when you are keeping to % then a 225g sirloin steak takes up 49g of your protein. today I had a gammon and egg salad for my lunch = 4g (I am in the UK so we count total carbs) for that salad.

    Eat your salad and add avocado or other healthy fats to it. You could add meat strips to add protein. I have what I call "the kitchen sink salad" at almost every dinner I eat. It usually runs @ 20 g carbs give or take a few. However, I usually only eat once a day and sometimes not at all, depending on my glucose readings.
