One of my new goals is to learn to use the TRX straps. There are now many competitors available and if you are a DIY person you can make your own. I have the TRX straps but I am just learning to use them. I am delighted at the way you can get full body involvement. I consider this type of exercise much better than using a machine.
Last weekend, I watched a number of TRX beginner exercise videos. I really liked this one. I watched it 3 times while actually trying to do the exercises.
If you are interested, the video is only about 6 minutes long.

I'm a TRX aficionado too! It is the most versatile piece of equipment I have and it travels well. My trainer is altogether too good at finding new and challenging ways to use the thing. Today I almost gave up but couldn't face telling him it was too hard! Needed a couple of breaks but made it through.

@RangerRickL. The TRX straps are a good tool. Very versatile and use bodyweight and physics to provide the resistance. The grips allow both pulling and pushing resistance.
Focus on correct form more than anything else. You should be able to get 10 reps of any exercise slowly and controlled. If the 10 reps with good form are too easy, then change angles to provide more resistance (this is the real secret to TRX, good form and adjust resistance to current capability).
The bodyweight exercises I do I modify to ensure the correct level of resistance. Push up too easy, change the hand position, body position or incline the feet to make it harder. Pull up too hard, use the door frame and increase/decrease lean to adjust pulling resistance, etc.. Sometimes it is easier to increase reps, but once I get over about 30 it's time to modify the exercise.
If you use HIIT principles (high intensity interval training), you do not need to spend a lot of time working out to get the most benefit. HIIT does not mean fast it means intense, ie. at max capability. Never sacrifice form for weight or speed.
