I disappeared for about 18 months and it’s so good to be back to this. I can’t believe the difference just two days has made.

I stopped being on the message boards mid 2016 while pregnant with my now 18 month old son. I’m convinced he’s my low carb miracle (10 years of infertility and loss and 16 years of diagnosed PCOS). I had a relatively low carb pregnancy and felt great. When I delivered my son 6 weeks early (perfectly healthy) it sent me into a spiral of guilt, depression, and postpartum anxiety. Food will always be there and sure enough my meals became whatever I could quickly stuff in my face while nursing.

I tried another weight loss program and I just can’t take it anymore- pushing unhealthy processed garbage foods and limiting calories to an unhealthy limit is not helping me meet my goals or be a good example to my kids. Low carbing (I’m around 100 total/ 75 net) allows me to feel better, take better care of myself, and show my kids good eating habits.

Sorry that was so long winded, but it really is SO nice to be “home.”

    I'm with you dtobio!
I'm back after a hiatus. It was really just a slow drift into old habits.
    Congrats on the baby!
