This thread is for GOADies who like to run. New runners, old runners, and even wannabe runners meet here to discuss the joys and challenges of running. Use this space to log your miles, ask questions, share your race reports, or for anything else related to running.

New runners - and even those just thinking about starting out - are always welcome. There's no reason to lurk here. Join the pack and tell us about your running!

Oftentimes the GotR thread will pose a question or raise an issue in order to facilitate the conversation, but this is always an open forum to chat about any running-related topic.

Today's topic: who is still running?

I've been plodding away 30 minutes/ day right around 10 minute miles. Anyone else still hitting the roads?

I'm on hiatus, but hoping to be running before too long.

Quick update: I was running earlier this year and got up to 25-30 minutes, but my chronic hip/back/butt thing was really not cooperating at all now matter how I babied it. I went back to the doc, and a lumbar MRI showed low back issues, and a recent injection is helping, and PT is just now one week underway. Up until recently, the doc was thinking my issues had more to do with the trashed out hip labrum she found with MRI about a year ago. Now, we're thinking the spinal issues (bulge and narrowing) are the more likely culprit.

Good to hear you're on the move, David! I'll aim to join you again soon.

I have been running regularly lately, but usually short morning runs. I’m looking forward to getting out for a longer run soon.

I've been doing way more bicycling than running this year. But I did run a 5K on April 8th. It was a fundraiser that we hosted at my university for an organization that we've been working with for nearly 10 years.

I deferred my trail 25K in March to November because I had not been running hardly at all since the beginning of the year. My goal is to gradually build up my running endurance over the summer/fall. Right now I'm just tracking my running in terms of minutes that I fit in per week. I usually do 2 treadmill run/walk interval sessions a week and one longer run outdoors.

Mostly short run walk right now. Goal is to improve stamina to start trail running again.
