My wife, Rose, is still enjoying her desert and condominium in Phoenix. She is a desert hiker and loves it! Above is a photo from Rose. It’s a blooming Saguaro cactus. The flower lasts only one day.5 -

If the hours change at work will go to plan next month I won't have to be in the water before sunrise any more. Fingers crossed. Honest, throwing myself into dark cold water at the first light of day is a bit too much even for me.5 -

Heh, I got miniscule exercise today. It counts though.
Rode up the hill to my wife's little schoolhouse.
I got little Buddies there.
I help my wife feed them lunch and stuff.
I think of fun and I think of beauty.
Buddy is a little guy that I have invested a couple of years on.
He has developmental constraints.
His mom was at school today.
I walked the little guy, one hand walking, out to a sandy play area.
One hand walking is a big deal.
He likes to just sit in the sand.
I am ok sitting in the sand but I like to lean back against a pole or something.
So we sit.
Little girl buddy is pushing sand up against me.
I like it.
First graders are running all over the place but they don't step on our fingers or nothing.
Whistle blows. It is time to go in.
I don't know how to describe how this is.
My back is feeling good.
I think I will go climbing tomorrow.

Such a beautiful day. 20° C instead of F!!
Yes x 3 - horse barn chores and grooming (they are some filthy examples of the joy of rolling in mud now that snow is gone) and some silly running around on them in a big field. My daughter got bucked off of our youngest, greenest horse when a bird flew up and scared him but she's fine and they both settled right back down. It's really hard to buck my daughter off. That horse has talent!3 -

Shorter walk just before dusk, started drizzling rain too. Winter is definitely on the way.
My wife made pavlova for desert again. I feel at times I am getting spoiled.
Late night as took daughter skating and went flying. Was too tired to do a daily post before going to bed (which is why I am posting in on my Wednesday morning).
For those who don't know what pavlova is; it is a meringue dessert topped with whipped cream and either fruit or peppermint chocolate. Below are photos of last night's pavlova.

Decided more than a 1 hour walk might be a good idea...so added another 26 minutes low impact aerobics to exercise some other muscle groups.2

Ended the day with a nice long walk with a friend. Love it when can do that. What a great way to end the stressful working day until the work call came in:( but I had a wonderful time out before2 -
