This is one of my favorite woodland flowers. It’s common name was inspired by those churches in which the priest or pastor speaks from an elevated pulpit. The flower is called a jack-in-the-pulpit. If you lift the overhanging petal, there is a single upright spadix which is the “Jack” figure. It’s a Arisaema triphylium.
Note the purple violets near the Jack in the pulpit. I just love these flowers.6 -

Back to usual schedule today. Walk was nice, but weather definitely getting colder. Predicting bad weather later in the week.
@RangerRickL. To me it looks a little like one of those pitcher plants (carnivorous, traps insects and digests them).
@RWayne48. 3 strikes is not out. UAC is not baseball. The rule is actually no more than 3 to not be in the monthly circle. Even then you are encouraged (more than welcome) to continue. The best way to build a habit is to keep working at it.
Due to the nature (and inaccuracy) of calories and exercise, it is very easy to over or under-estimate either. Calories are a guide, but the best one we have. Tracking becomes more art than science because we live in the real world.
The beauty of tracking is the ability to review and look for patterns. Only with data can these emerge. Relying on memory alone does not work (due to how easy it is to forget things - eg. what did you have for dinner last Wednesday? Most who don't track could not tell you)

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Not today. Work had me sitting at my desk until 6pm and then I had to pick up the pup from daycare and at that point I was starving and had no energy. My body is also very sore from my core day.

With no exercise, this’ll be Pass #1 for me. The rest day was necessary...

Exercise: yes, planned on walking an hour but had to stop and go home at 45 minutes because my poor little girl had an accident in her stroller. She's been potty training for the past month and only had an accident the first day, but for some reason today she had 2 accidents. I'm still so proud of her though. She's doing amazing!

New schedule with the trainer. I got to the gym at 6 a.m. this morning. I usually work out at home in the morning,but now I have my Monday morning workout at Anytime Fitness with Emily the trainer. She make me work like crazy. Emily is highly trained and a very capable coach. I am pushing myself.

Yes x3. 5 hours of painting without a break. Surprisingly exhausting! Also got out for an evening walk with the family.2

@craigo3154 thanks for the encouragement I'm definitely finishing this challenge - it is very insightful to see where the calories are going and more importantly, am I getting enough of various nutrients...it's my first run and I expected a little bit of a challenge to stay with it2
