We are flying from Chicago to Portland, Oregon in the Pacific NW of the USA. Our son, Ethan, lives there. It will be Mother's Day on Sunday. My wife, his mother, wants to be with her youngest child on Mother's Day.7 -

Not a very good day today and not as active as I would have liked either.
Got in our doggie walk for a hour and half this afternoon, then a 2 hour bike ride this evening.
No run this morning and I think it's thrown my day out, as it's how I start my early mornings, but a late rise meant I had to skip it.
My eating as been terrible today as well. I'm not over calories, thankful of the extra calories from that bit of exercise today has kept me in the green, but still, bad food choices today which could have been much healthier too had I thought ahead.

Too early for me to be saying that the kitchen is closed.
But that won't keep me from talking about my exercise.
I went out with a serious climb in mind this morning.
Weird, I like it when someone says weird.
I stopped 50 feet short of climbing for 2,000.
I just didn't feel like going any more. Lateral distance to get that 50 of vertical, probably 300 yards. I have a feeling I ain't got no more 4,000 foot climbs left in me.
But I save energy to go see my little Buddy.
That is how I am.
I have lunch with the little rascal at a lunch table that is for special kids.
Lunch table is a big deal. That is what I say.
My little Autism kids get some social inclinations there.
I get to nurture. Hey I ain't too old for that.
Buddy ain't exactly Autism. But Autism kids look at me an Buddy and an idea settles into their minds. There are people that love.
I folded an Origami dragon for a little guy named Angel and he kissed my hands.
Things that I will remember when the lights grow dim.
I forgot. We are talking about weird. A lizard got into my house. I seen it this morning and I tell you I don't feel like catching it. Hey that ain't as bad as a mouse. I hope he don't starve to death but I have a feeling he won't.
But I got like 1,000 exercise calories from that bike ride. Today is payday. My wife and I often take an extravagance for that. I am taking 400 cals for alcohol. I am going to make pita bread pizza for my wife. That is probably about 600 cal each.
I track. I gotta track for my wife. That is kind of awkward.

Today was a better day. I got a good 35 min workout in this morning. Made good food choices, tracked everything and was under by 200ish.3 -
Exercise? Yes...and my first time ever on a trampoline with my grandchildren. Not too bad for this old lady!!!

Exercise: cleaned son's room from top to bottom. Closets high and low, toy boxes, drawers, the whole nine yards. Just like my daughter's yesterday. Lots of squatting and bending and lifting today. Tomorrow is mine and hubby's room then relax on Sunday at my parents house for mother's day.
Calories: ate way more than I wanted to but barely stayed under due to the exercise.

Wednesday - for Mother’s Day my son gifted me a kitten. Today my husband felt Tux (8 months) needed a buddy. So we now have Trek (9 weeks). Both rescues. Let the hissing begin!4 -
@RangerRickL Thank you so much; your kindness touched me deeply. The initial results were not as good as I expected, but more tests have been done & the final results will give more info. The Dr. told me “not to get worked up over it” & that they do this test so they can catch it early & treat it!!

Pass Day #2
Exercise- yes 30 minutes walking slowly
Calories- would have been fine if I had been able to do my normal Pilates and hiking but was told to take it easy. Over by 300, healthy foods. Better than yesterday despite bad news.
Tracking- yes, every bite.
Tomorrow I commit to pre-logging as I usually do so I can get calories below my burned calories.
