I grew up in a small town with all of usual Small Town USA traditions. One of those traditional events is a festival based on some feature, crop, product, or local historical figure. Last weekend was the Lilac Festival in which our good friend, 87 year old Marge was honored as the grand Marshall.

Still interstate (and will be till Thursday). Managed to get out and walk North Sydney tonight. Tomorrow will probably cross the harbour bridge and back.
Looks like I will be here next week as well. Time to start forming a travel routine. Fortunately my exercise routine requires no equipment and I can walk anywhere.
Created a post in the Challenge board to inform others of UAC June.

@RangerRickL Love the parade photos and all the purple hats celebrating your Lilac Festival. Lilacs in this area are now just peak.
@craigo3154 Visited New Zealand and Australia in 2013. We did not do the bridge climb, though. We enjoyed several walks in the Rocks area including Royal Botanic Garden and to Hyde Park. Also, took the train to the Blue Mountains for some hiking. New Zealand was very beautiful, as well. Would love it if we could just time travel back to your part of the world. The flight to get there was REALLY long!

10 miles of walking today - not all in one go, 5 miles this morning then 5 miles this evening after work with my girl. It's been really hot here, and even though she can walk all day, the heat makes her ill, even if she doesn't realise it, bless her.
It's been a long, stressful day today, so I'm just gonna relax now until bedtime!
Hope you've all had a good day today...x5 -

So sorry you are not feeling well, Rick. Wishing you a speedy recovery!1 -
I hope you feel better soon @RangerRickL!
Pass day over here. Daughter was sick, to do lists too long (have a very big weekend coming up) and I just didn’t get my exercise in. Out of the winners circle this month but that’s ok, I’ll keep on going!3 -

@w8goal4life. Great photos from Sydney. Being start or winter here it is getting dark early.
Plan to wander across the bridge tonight and back.
Lights festival starts on Friday so may get to have a look at it next week.
Australia is a long way from the rest of the world. You really appreciate this when doing fortnightly trips to London. (24+ hours each way).

Yes 3x. 30 min walk.1

@RangerRickL I’m sorry you’re sick & not able to be up & about.
I wonder if we should have a Sick Pass on top of the three day Pass system. I’m new to the group, so I’m sure you’ve all thought of this before, and there are probably reasons not to do it. I just know we’re supposed to rest when sick. Perhaps the Sick Pass just applies to the Exercise?
