I know not everyone is into kdramas if they are into kpop but I got to kpop through dramas. First I saw Jae Joong sing in the drama Triangle. Then D.O. in It's Ok, It's Love and then Lee Hong Gi from FTIsland in Bride of the Century. I finally discovered BTS Dope in the drama Twenty Again. They played it in a dance scene.

Twenty Again was about a woman who was a housewife. She decides she wants to go to college to keep her husband who wants to divorce her. She doesn't know he is also seeing another woman. She is suppose to be this older woman but she is like 39. The part she dances got me interested in casually dancing again. I don't think the actress can really dance they use creative camera shots. https://youtu.be/gdGWBuQHkug

I love kdramas. Right now I’m watching Witch’s Romance, I love Park Seo Joon. I loved Hwarang, V is adorable in it. But one that really motivated me, specially to work out was Oh My Venus.

Just started a kdrama Goodbye to Goodbye. It starts a bit dark with a woman living a reclusive life after she finds out that her husband has cheated on her and fathered a child. She refuses to divorce him to keep her security. Her son's girlfriend ends up getting pregnant and he wants her to have an abortion. She invades her mother in laws house and ends up not having an abortion. Her father who raised her is highly protective since her mom ran off when she was young. Sounds all depressing but on episode 8 the women are starting to come alive. The mom is able to leave her house in an emergency and she starts to cook and uncover her furniture. It looks like it is going to be a drama about renewal and moving on.

I love Oh My Venus! I still tear thinking about "tap, tap" sigh

Some other dramas I enjoyed were

Note: I'm not really good at writing synopsis for dramas since I don't want to give away too much for those who haven't seen it yet. I included wikipedia links to anyone who wants to know more (sorry!)

    1. Strong Woman Do Bong Soon - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strong_Girl_Bong-soon

If you haven't seen this and you like romcoms I'd totally recommend it. Actually I am so biased I will tell you to watch it even if you don't lol

    2. You're Beautiful - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/You're_Beautiful_(TV_series)

Another romcom (I guess I gravitate to those lol) I thought Park Shin-hye and Jang Geun-suk did really well in this!

    3. Oh My Ghostess - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oh_My_Ghost_(TV_series)

Another drama with Park Bo Young in it but really different role for her. I liked the development of the story and it also has a lot to do with food so even more so I was interested lol

    4. Pinocchio - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinocchio_(2014_TV_series)

Another Park Shin-hye drama but Lee Jong-suk did such a great job in this. Like so many dramas I had tears watching this. This is more serious and not so much comedy but the romance is there.

    5. Boys Over Flowers - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boys_Over_Flowers_(TV_series)

Lee Min-ho! Kim Hyun-Joong! He he Another cute romcom. It's a high school setting and I think based off of a manga.

    6. Flower Boy Next Door - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flower_Boys_Next_Door

This also has Park Shin-Hye in it. But I really loved Yoon Shi-Yoon's character and his acting in this. Its a little slower paced and a slice of life type of drama but again romcom

    7. Master's Sun - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master's_Sun

So Ji Sub was great in this although I think I prefer his character in Oh My Venus better!

    8. Lawless Lawyer - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawless_Lawyer

I'm currently watching and completely captivated by Lee Joon-Gi <3

I haven't watched Lawless Lawyer yet. Master's Sun has been my rewatch drama. It was a drama I watched very early when I first started watching dramas. I can't remember if I watched Flower Boy Next Door. I will have to check.

It was really good and I like both main male leads. Sometimes I like the slightly older actors because they bring so much to the parts and maybe since I am so much older than the leads.

Right now I am watching Something in the Rain (Pretty Noona who buys me food) and I’m giggling like a girl, it’s super adorable. The main actor is so cute and I was surprised to find he’s my age because he looks way younger :o

I finished watching the last episode of Pretty Noona today. It was such a beautiful drama, definitely one of my top. I need more kdrama friends because my husband must be tired of my recaps every day, but I need to tell someone about it :D:D

Pretty Noon Who Buys Me Food or the other name Something in the Rain gave me the motivation to be open to dating. My divorce was finalized 2 years ago. To see such a genuinely sweet love story was so nice. My parents were best friends until my dad passed. She told me that my dad knew all her secrets whatever they were I don't know. I highly recommend the drama.

I'm watching this interesting Japanese drama called Survival Wedding and in episode 5 the main male lead says something interesting that healthy is attractive. Beauty is sometimes seen as healthy but the real attraction is healthy when it comes to partnering up to pass on good genes. Not sure how that works with gay men but probably about the same except without the kids unless they have a surrogate. I didn't get much sleep so I think I'm a bit goofy.

But i do like the concept of healthy as being the source of confidence.
