6/4 Zumba today, I want to rotate my video's. I reach 5k steps before the video ended, but I'm not sure if I will benefit as much as when I do the dance to the hits by LS. HIIT.
When I do the HIIT training I tend to lose weight which is my goal.
Any thoughts or words of wisdom from anyone????

I think rotation is a good idea. My Pal's that strength train do HIIT workouts after a strength workout and say it ups the burn. (They strength train every over day). I know HIIT is a great calorie burner, but it has a dread factor for me. :) I do it, but am so glad when it's over. It's good to vary your workouts so you don't over work your muscles doing the same motions day after day. And variation is good for staving off boredom. HTH

I'm new here. I tried my fitness pal a while back and had good results but we moved and I totally stopped. We'll I'm back and just started Leslie Sansone today. I was actually searching to see if anyone had posted about her workouts when I stumbled upon this group. I'm motivated and excited to start my weight loss journey. I have knee pain and plantars fasciitis in one foot so walking really helps me over other forms of working out.

I'm not sure about my goal. I decided to start with a 2 mile workout, I did Leslie Sansone's walk down your blood sugar that I found online. I only picked it because it is 2 miles but it was a pretty good workout. I'd like to get up to 5+ miles.

Does anyone recommend any particular activity tracker? I do not have an iPhone so I would need a Fitbit or something. If like to know how many steps I'm taking and heart rate.

Also, how did you log your workout? Do you log it as a walk or aerobics?

Thanks. Looking forward to getting healthy and losing weight. Please add me as a friend, I'd love to have some others to keep me accountable and motivated.

Hi Selah37! Welcome to the group!

When tracking and logging my Leslie Walks I put it under low impact aerobics . I have a fitbit Alta that I love.

Welcome, @Selah37! This is a great group.

I first found Leslie on Youtube as well and subscribed to her channel as well as follow her on FB. I've found several of her DVD's at my local Library and check them out regularly.

I have an Apple Watch but several of my friends have the Fitbit Charge HR.

Hello! I'm happy to find other Leslie fans! I'm happy to join your group! My adult daughter has been joining me to do the Walking DVDs a couple times a week.

    Yesterday:
You Can Do Abs (stability ball DVD with Leslie) - we did all 30 minutes, both upper body and lower body
Walk Off Fat Fast - we did the 20 minute

Today I took my younger kids to the pool for 2 hours and I spent most of that time jogging under the water or liesurely swimming laps. So, I'm not sure that I'll be joining Leslie for a walk tonight...

Hi @selah37. I have a Fitbit Alta and I love it. I have it synched to MFP to log exercise. It depends on which Walk at Home DVD I use, but mostly it records them as aerobic which I believe is accurate. When I do a super easy one, Fitbit usually logs it as a walk.

    Welcome to the group!

    5 Really Big Miles!

First time I've done this walk and it was pretty fun with upbeat music! I wish it had multiple intervals or HIIT, but it does include some strength training and I do need to be working back into that. It's definitely one I'd consider purchasing to add into my rotation.
