Hit my first stall. 40 lbs from my ideal weight..... and now.... Summer. Talked to my doctor this week for 5 month checkup. I said my appetite is increasing and I am feeling hungry but if I eat a meal, I feel sick, too full, my heart flutters. So, I go on to say that I am faced with attending BBQs, events, weddings, vacation in NYC, going to the beach...FOOD being pushed everywhere. Clearly even having 1200 calories from 800 is causing my weight to hold steady...even if I am exercising, walking, etc. I am limited with regard to knee injuries so major cardio is no option. Summertime is honestly more of a challenge... feeling a bit discouraged. Doc says DO NOT GRAZE.... DO NOT DRINK LIQUID with meals. Apparently the longer I go “fasting” between meals will get the metabolism going into fat burn. He basically said I have trained my sleeve to know it’s not needing to trigger getting energy from fat storages.... body knows it’s getting a steady food supply. Well..... okay. Maybe better luck next week.... except guests will be here wanting to dine out all over town..... wish me luck.

I'm at six months, and just dipped below 200 after a six week stall. I'd been killing it in the gym, took two weeks off, and the stall broke. Six pounds just dipped right off me. So, it seems like it might be a bit of a balancing act. Like, yes, I'm sure the info the doctor is giving you is good, but it may also be your body needs rest, or some other change. Now, my loss since that dip has been slow, but I'm back in the gym, and my pants are ever so slightly looser. I am really trying to be patient. I lost right at 60 at six months, and also have about another 40 to go. I feel good enough now that if I don't make it all the way down, fine. But, yeah, my appetite feels like it's back, I can eat quite a bit more volume, and it really is hard to stay out of the liquids for 30 min on either side of each meal. Good luck!

I have had guests nearly 2 weeks. Vacationers want to eat at restaurants, drink alcohol, run around to attractions, etc. I have not weighed myself, I ate a little bit of this and that. Well, today I am in bed. I actually went in for a vitamin infusion and hydration as it’s in the nineties outside and I am sick. The sleeve revolted... two bites of bbq beef brisket, one tablespoon of potato salad and ONE sip of a cucumber infused vodka drink with elderberry. Nope nope nope... by the time we got home I was going down hill. My husband ordered a quesadilla.... one bite and that’s All she wrote... I just spent the night in the bathroom sick as a dog... if that’s dumping syndrome then I was in hell and vomiting too. 6 months out I thought I could handle it. Back to boiled eggs, cottage cheese, and protein shakes. Right in time for US to go on vacation next week. Good grief!

Survived a week of fun, partying, theater, fine dining, and of course.... carbs. Stepped on the scale, didn’t lose but a few ounces but definitely lost inches. Lots of walking, dancing, and sticking to 1200-1400 calories. Stalled 3 weeks..... have had company and a vacation.... 3 weeks.......so sick of food to be honest. I managed to eat some grilled chicken and some peanuts today. I think the sleeve is asking for time out....
