Welcome to all for the July UAC. Please read the instructions. Those who qualify, see above, who only have 3 Pass Days in July will qualify to be honored as Winner's Circle Qualifiers.
Nonetheless, even if you have 3 or more Pass Days, you are NOT DISQUALIFIED from being team members of the UAC. We are running a long-term life change. Change your lousy habits for healthy habits and you will change your life. If you are focused on a life change....hang with us!!
I appreciate each of you!!5 -
Congratulations everyone!!!!4

Exercised?: Yes. Drone racing - over 10,000 steps.
Calories?: Yes
Tracked?: Yes
Good flying. Skills are still improving. Unfortunately one craft now out of action, but I have others that are still flyable.
Congratulations to all who made the Winners circle in June. Any month is a hard month to keep consistency.
Congratulations too to all who kept going in June, even after the fourth pass day. This is really what UAC is about.
Each month I post my goals for the month. It helps keep me focused. They are often the same month to month, but it is what I aspire to maintain.
Personal goals for July:- Be in winners circle (track everything, keep under budget, 20+ mins exercise per day, no more than 3 pass days).
- Gain a little then stay between 63kg and 68kg (full maintenance maintenance but too low at the moment. 68kg is still well inside the normal BMI range for me.).
- Stay honest (even if it puts me out of the circle for the month) and continue past failings (forgive mistakes and keep moving forward).
- Encourage others where possible.
Wishing best of success to everyone.
Did not post goals for last month, but I have work to do this month as dropped as low as 61.5kg last month. Still not up to 63kg, but working on getting there (but it's difficult with so much work travel). A lot struggle to lose weight. Currently I am struggling to gain it (but not have it all just pack on as visceral fat).
I also do not want to re-introduce gluten as it seems to have unwanted side effects (despite keeping weight on).6 -

Only had a short 20 minute walk today with the high temperature, going back out at 9pm. Calories look on track, made everyone's breakfast and lunch so plenty left for a family Sunday dinner.4

Exercise was a 30 min interval session on the assault bike (apart from helping my cardio for competition I get rewards from my life insurance company for healthy living and my activity goal is achieved easiest through heart rate monitor which I can't use during Jiu Jitsu) and 6 rounds of Jiu Jitsu (6 minutes each because that's competition round) with some of my team mates. Competition is next Saturday!
Ate well and under my lowest limit (I have a couple of limits, this is ideal but if I'm low on energy I will bump up to a different limit to ensure in getting enough fuel for training.
Logged everything.
1 June to 1 July my weight stayed basically the same, but it's higher than I want (and keeps me in the highest division at competition, which I don't want). I know that was because my ankle injury left me grumpy (Jiu Jitsu is very good for my mental health) and I ate badly. I have another competition in August so motivated to make good choices most of the time (although birthday weekend is a free for all!)
Well done to the winners from last month. I aim to join you next month...5 -

Exercised? Walked 15000 steps and did some active stretching. Was going to be open mat but both of our coaches was gone today.
Calories: I visited a breakfast buffe with family and friends so i ate most of my calories there and then :P Still managed to stay 300 calories under
Tracked: Tracked all my calories.
I´m thinking of switching to a bigger more serious gym, but then it would be further away and all of my day would be gone from working and training and dont know if i have enough motivation for that and it would kinda feel like i abandoned my old trusty club

July 1st:
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? YES
I did a 90 min walk round Scammonden Dam, Yorkshire, UK, in the glorious sunshine. I also walked to the shops this morning instead of jumping in the car. 13,887 steps so far today (17:30 GMT). Cinema this eve so decided to post early instead of risking forgetting later as I’m not yet in the habit.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? YES I’m actually tracking less than half my daily calories currently and I’ve just had my tea. I’m not planning on eating anything more really so need to plan a bit better so I have good energy. May have cereal later to boost cals/energy.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? YES. I took a picture of each meal to ensure I didn’t forget anything. And remembered the items that are not obvs like oil, and a latte.
I’m feeling GREAT!!
I hope everyone’s Day 1 has gone/is going well. xx6 -

Our coach let's us have open mat without him there. There usually is a senior belt around (mostly because they usually have keys) but he will also open for us if we ask.
Switching clubs is a big choice. I did it a couple of years ago because I didn't trust that my old coach had my best interests at heart. Now, I would sacrifice a lot to train under my current coach. He is worth it! (Bonus deal that the club is actually walking distance from my house!) What attracts you to the other club that your club doesn't have?3 -

@Dory_42 My current club is very small and during the summers we can be down to 2-4 members during a training pass wich i feel dont give varied enough opponents when Rolling. Also the experience of the coaches are Worlds apart. The gym im thinking of joining is named Allstars and people like Alexander gustaffson(number 1 ranked LHW in ufc) trains there and its the best martial arts gym in Scandinavia.4 -

Had a pretty lazy day today but I *did* get on my stationary bike and rode for 20 minutes, which ended up being just under 6 miles. I may end up doing some gentle yoga before bed for another 20 or so minutes.
I made sure to track EVERYTHING, even things I wouldn’t normally track like the splash of maple syrup I put on my sweet potato or the bbq sauce I had with my (vegan) chicken tenders. The only things I didn’t log were the things that were obviously zero calories like seltzer water and Coke Zero (my weakness). Hopefully that’s not against the rules? I’m new here so I’m not sure how everyone does things around here. I don’t usually log things that have zero calories just because they don’t count against my total calorie count, but if I need to be logging them, I will from here on out. Let me know.
That being said, I did stay under my calorie budget for the day.
I hope everyone has had a good first day! I’m excited to get started on this challenge!2 -

It feels good to be back! In spite of the crazy heat I did my training circuit for 45 minutes, paddled around the pond a few times to cool off, had a 2 hour rehearsal with my fave pianist (I'm a flutist), and went back in the pond with her to cool off again. Calories and tracking all good. Too hot to ride the horses but they got hosed off - made them very happy.4
