I'm back! Alaska was incredible, I'd highly recommend adding it to your bucket list. Saw bald eagles and a moose and calf out and about; saw bears and caribou (reindeer) at a wildlife preserve. Missed the whale. Leg handled it very well, today I'm in a lace-up support that reminds me of a corset rather than the boot. Hoping that when I see the dr in a couple weeks I'll be good to go.
Oh, the scale? It was very honest and reflected the reduced activity and increased food and gluten I indulged in while gone. How am I going to deal with the scale?
- Back to my food routine starting today. I'm going to be very strict about gluten because after a week of compromises I'm not feeling very well.
- Daily exercise. No excuses. I am capable of upper body and ab workouts, broken leg or not.
- Daily walks. I did it while gone, I can certainly do it at home.
I need accountability, ladies! I'm thankful for this group.6 -

Little bit of a stall since we had a lot of social, beer-drinking events last week. This week I will be up at my parents lake house so lots of swimming, walking and paddle boarding to be had. My stretch goal is to get into the 155s, but if not I'm aiming to at least make it to 156. I hope everyone has a great week!!2 -
Hello, I'm joining in this month. I've been a silent observer for a few months on and off. I was losing weight quite well for a few months, but the last 5 or 6 weeks has been really hard as I've been injured and in way too much pain to do much meal prep/care about whether my clothes fit. Mine is all in metric!

This month I'm going to focus on doing my physio, weighing in regularly, and stop thinking that exhaustion from pain means I've burned extra calories...Also, my protein goal is significantly higher to try to preserve muscle, so trying to hit that daily will be interesting.3 -

Well, that lasted. I weighed in to see if it was just a rogue low weigh in but no. But I've had to beat off two BBQs already with a stick so this could change. And I ate 5 mini twixes, I have no shame.
I've got my MRI Wednesday week and my results two weeks after that, so hopefully, we can get this train moving before a) I die of boredom and b) I go broke from buying tons of clothes because I'm bored. I did buy a couple of pieces from the Gymshark sale, out of curiosity. Not that I'll wear leggings in this Lord forsaken weather. RIP me and my permanent heat headache despite drinking all the water.7 -
I'm back for July. June was going great - and then work hit like an out of control train (my workload more than quadrupled), add in the middle of race season, travel for both of those - and, well, June didn't end so well. Basically undid all of my July progress and then some in a matter of a couple weeks. Lots of eating out, eating fast/fried/restaurant food, way too much drinking - ya. Price paid right around my middle.
Thankfully I seem to be getting the work stuff a bit better managed. Travel still a thing, but determined to get right back on this wagon and start making some better choices in that regard.
So, here we are.

Good start to the month. I last weighed 157lbs around 5/5.5yrs ago . Shark week is coming up though so should imagine next week is not going to be as good... Still, revised my goals ever so slightly.

Hello everyone! This month is going to be a busy one. My two older kids start braces this month and we discovered that my oldest has some extra fun stuff that will require dental surgery in a few months before we add anymore appliances. My one year old also decided to be unique and has some rare dental stuff going on so we've been in and out of the dentist since last month deciding on the best course of action for him. So if anybody needs me I'll be helping the dentist and orthodontist buy a new vacation home. I'm doing my best to stick to twice a week, full body strength training and losing a half pound a week.

Sooo I think I have tendonitis in my right foot. It sucks but I've been able to maintain for the past week. I'm walking about 5-6 miles on Saturday morning though so hopefully a day of icing tomorrow helps it a little bit. I've been in the lower 150's for a couple months now so I think this is where I should stay. If motivation strikes to help me get a little lower, great. If not, I'm still feelin pretty sexy.

Making good progress getting the water retention off, but still a few more to go. I have been successfully avoiding gluten (and processed foods) this week, and it's helping. I'm not as puffy around the ribs, but the leg/foot are still quite swollen and the leg yells, loudly, when I'm on it too much. Some day I'll be healed, but not today.
Monday 7/2 I posted three goals:

On the one hand, achieving two of the three isn't bad, but yet I really need to resume workouts. Next week I plan to report that I've achieved that one as well.3 -
I am the worst. Feeling down about backsliding like crazy! I want to be fit and look lean, but like everyone else I don't seem to want it badly enough to exercise consistently and stop shoving trash food into my mouth... Starting again, so the cycle continues.

My husband left this morning for the rest of the summer. He'll be at camp with the cadets until the end of August. So far my kids are doing okay with it. I woke up to a nice surprise on the scale and promptly ate two donuts with my coffee I was getting used to not seeing anything besides a little whoosh every 2-3 weeks. The upside to being alone is that I don't eat out of the house nearly as much and make dinner every night, so that should help a lot.

TOM water weight is finally gone, whoo! I had to get on the scale a few times this morning to double check the weight, but this was consistent each time. I really need to remember to take my measurements so I can see how I stand at the end of the month. Restarted Strong Curves this week after nearly a month off due to various reasons, so we'll see how this month goes!4 -

My motivation has been at an all time low lately, I need a good kick in the butt. Time to get back to basics. Although I enjoy sleeping in until 6am, I need to get back to my 5am routine as I am not consistently exercising daily when I get up later.4 -

I’m more concerned about how I look and feel than the number, but I would guess I have about 10 pounds left to go. It is coming off super, duper slow now! I seem to be losing about 0.5 lbs every couple weeks, which is agonizingly slow when I’m approaching my gw!

I’m on track for my goal to maintain weight. Have been eating well for the most part, and the scale seems to reflect that.
I haven’t been doing so good on the goal of building muscle, but I think I’m okay with that. It’s summer, which lends itself to beach, bike rides, long walks, etc — but I haven’t really been hitting the weights. I think I’m okay with this, and it’s something I might revisit later in the season or this fall.6 -

I tried to eat reasonably on the cruise, but I still ate a lot. Not having access to MFP made it hard at the buffet. I was eating food that I don’t normally eat, and therefore had no idea what to estimate for calories. We went on a good walking tour yesterday, and went back to the same places again today. Even though it was delicious, my stomach feels gross now. I am looking forward to getting back on track tomorrow!3 -
