Ate much higher calories today, but I'm happy with that as I have been under too much this week and needed to fuel up for tomorrow's competition. Logged all the food even when it was the healthiest fuel choice. Mostly eating on the run.
Active rest in the form of kids advanced Jiu Jitsu class. Planned to go and roll with the kids as part of our mentor program but coach was late so he asked me to get them started. He arrived 5 minutes before class ended so I took the whole class.
Bought a new pair of running shoes. Bonus deal is I get 25% off the cost back at the next monthly payment run and for the next 12 months I can earn the other 75% by reaching my weekly activity targets. My insurance has various rewards for healthy living choices!
Evening was a referee course for tomorrow's competition so I'm going to be busy, not just competing! When I did fencing, I was always interested in refing but my coach discouraged me from it everytime. My Jiu Jitsu coach encourages me to try things I'm interested in so now, with him and two others in my club, I'm a qualified ADCC class C referee!
Tomorrow is competition and I'm most excited about the 5-6 year old division. We have a come of boys who are incredible and I can't wait to see how they do in a competition format!2 -
