Try to plan your meals at least a day in advance and then stick. to. them.

So I issued the challenge and then my week went to hell. I have not stayed with a meal plan since the first day. Yesterday I went on a carb binge and ate almost 2000 calories. **sigh**.
How is it going with the rest of you?0 -
I am only seeing this now (I usually scroll down the Community page and only hit the weigh-ins, I guess). I can easily get too "obsessed" with food, so too much planning would set me up. I do cook some rice in the morning when it is still cooler and then I use it during the next couple of days.0

I usually plan most of my lunches when grocery shopping (easy for me because I stay at work and eat at my desk most days). When I try to plan dinners, I self sabotage. No matter what it is and how tasty, I wind up wanting something else. Since my largest meal of the day is dinner, what I want changes all day long lol.
I also binged somewhat this week, but am still within my weekly calories. I can't do keto because I KNOW that is not even remotely sustainable for me in any scenario. I hope it's working well for you!

Last month I was doing a good job of planning meals, but more for reducing food waste & being economic than in terms of calories. This week has so far been planned in so far as I went to the posh supermarket on Tuesday and bought food for 3 evening meals (tues, weds & thurs). Then tonight I had no plans, so we went out for food. And the cocktail menu called to me.1

I did okay this week with the exception of two days. I overate one day but I did 5 miles one day so I was STARVING the remainder of the day. The second time I had tons of cookies which led to more bad decisions. Oh and last night I ate entirely too much candy...guess I was stressed. I’ll do better next week.0

Oh and I tried IF and Keto aaand recuse neither were for me. IF had me lethargic and nauseous and Keto is too restrictive and I don’t have time to eliminate things that are easy to grab and go0

I’ve planned all our dinners for next week. I’ll take lunch & snacks to work with me, so although they are not planned as such, there’s a pretty limited range of things I take. Breakfast is always the same during the week (one of three high fibre cereals, depending on what’s in the cupboard). And then on Saturday it’s HOLIDAY TIME!1

I did a little meal prep yesterday and will do more tomorrow so I should be better this week with what I am eating and the family is eating.0

This week got blown out of the water. We accepted an offer on our house a week ago Monday. It closes in 10 days so I’m scrambling to get things packed, tossed and donated. I’m pooped! Hopefully I’m burning more calories than I’m consuming since my eating plan for the week has disintegrated into “eat what’s here” and “grab and go”. Congrats to all who were able to give it a better shot than me!1

Congrats on the house!!!! Remember at fast food places, gas stations restaurants there are always “better” choices than not so better ones.0
