Took a break from lifting because I was away, but got lots of random exercise and ate on plan. Back to weights this week.

    Hey ladies,
My weight has shot way up this month :/

I'm pretty sure a lot of it is water weight from the heat wave we're having, the fact that I started a bootcamp and am sore a lot, and eating pretty processed foods.

I've had a couple false starts this month and last but I think I'm finally ready to make it stick this time. I always need a couple practice starts after I fall off the wagon, but I think I'm good.

I purchased a meal-plan guide that I'm waiting to arrive. I think that'll help a lot. When I'm just starting something (or re-starting), I do so much better with a framework.

Goals for the rest of the month are to not drink (exception for one birthday party I'm going to but I'm going to try to keep it minimal) and to drink more water.

    Happy Wednesday everyone! <3

Forgot to check in last week and hate to post a higher number but it is what it is. Have been indulging in carbs this week plus TOM so a water bump.

On the plus side, I have worked up to walking 4 miles per day with my dogs and doing a modified workout. This thing of not being 100% is getting old. I want my leg/ankle to be completely healed, and my sprained wrist is frustrating. But I am capable of exercising so I'm doing modifications. I still need to get motivated to dial in my food. It is a process and I only fail if I stop trying.

I’ve appreciated eating at maintenance during transit. It’s been hard to guesstimate meals at restaurants and hotels, but the scale looks like I’ve not done too badly at my guesses. Two more weeks before we get the keys to our new house and get out of hotels. I’ve been able to keep up with running every 2-3 days, but I miss strength training.

I realized I was still losing for the past few weeks, so upped my calories again, and think I’ve actually hit maintenance. With friends and family in town now (and more or less for the rest of summer) I’m quite happy to have that extra room.

Weight up, BF reading is inching down, I’ll take it. Still swapping in veggies and fruits for packaged and processed stuff, still playing the macro game. But more maintenance eating than keeping a deficit. Resting a tweaky neck = lower NEAT and a few missed workouts. Glad it’s better. I did great with my macros for a girls night out but man, my hangover eating Sunday & even yesterday sucked. Back on track today.

Just got back from bachelorette weekend yesterday so my weight is bit up, mainly from drinking and sodium (i did not pay a ton of attention to food this weekend and it was glorious). Honestly not too upset with my # today since I had assumed I'd be maybe 2-4 lbs up (i hold onto water very easily if i stray from my "normal" meals) . Looking to get back to the 155s this week and get back on track with eating and meal prepping.

Trending down but that's a-ok with me. Not sure what I'm doing differently to make this happen though. I used to be in the 140s but I had almost no muscle then so I figured I'd weigh a little more now.

I seem to be averaging about a half a pound a week. I’m not impatient about it, I’m grateful every time I see the number go down. The last couple months were full of outings, picnics, parties, beach days, an 18 road trip each way and then a week in a hotel and my numbers continue to go down. Not because I’m lucky, but because I make a conscious effort everyday, at every meal, to continue on this path. I find the best plan for me is pre-logging my meals the day before and following my diary, weighing my food and being honest!

Nice to see the 50's today, it's been a while. Had to drop back the walking miles as my leg/ankle wasn't handling 4 miles/day well. Wrist is very slowly improving but still doing modified workouts. I think I have my head straight for food. I'm so used to increasing workouts to drop weight that this is very difficult changing my mindset. Was reminded by a coworker this week that we don't bounce back as quickly as we used to...agree with the sentiment but not pleased to be told I'm getting old! 48 is not old, but it is older than I think I am.

Not going down as quickly as I would like, but the scale is moving in the right direction. I am coming to terms that I may not be able to run any distance soon/ ever. All I can do is keep moving and eating well. Slow and steady wins the race.

Well I want to punch the scale this morning. Presented like that it looks like a slow week.

    My week went like this:
    7/22: 129.2
    7/24: 129.0
    7/26: 128.5
    7/28: 128.1 <---so close!
    7/29: 129.2

And I stuck to my calorie goals, came super close on my macros...I know I've been stressed. My youngest has had a bad bug for days and I've been lacking sleep, UNTIL last night. I went to bed 2 hours early and slept the best sleep I've slept in days. I thought that'd make me more likely to hit my goal, not less. Darn. Well I'm going to come back on the 31st and do a non-Sunday weight in for the official end of the month, maybe there is still a chance.

Yesterday was a blast but not so good on the food front. That weight is definitely water (I’ve been weighing in around or below 131 all week until today) but I’m hoping the bloat goes away quickly because my final wedding dress fitting is this week.

I've been very absent recently so will catch back up on the new thread (heading off to start that now). July has been...a challenge. The heat really got to me and I couldn't be bothered with the gym (despite the aircon) and was rather lax with my eating habits. This week I have been to the gym twice already, going again tomorrow, so with the exception of one 5 day break I hope to be back on track.
