Respond to the following topic with a goal you'd like to accomplish and answer the following:
Think of a goal you'd like to accomplish in the next five years.
What can you do a) tomorrow, b) next month, c) in the next year, d) in the next couple of years to accomplish your goal?
State any obstacles to reaching your goal. What things will you need to achieve your goal?

In the next five years I would like to be able to ride my horse for 25 miles and not pass out so that I can keep up with my endurance riding friend.
To accomplish this I will need to build up my cardiovascular fitness. I can start running again or find another activity like boxing. Once my horse is healed, I will need to ride him at least a few times a week and try to ride for longer periods of time. I basically need to work out and ride for five years and try to keep track of my progress to motivate myself.
An obstacle to my goal is laziness. I don't really want to work out. Another obstacle is time, I would like to ride my horse for longer periods of time, but this is not always feasible.
To accomplish this goal I will need some motivation and probably a better saddle.0 -
My resolution for 2018 is to be able to do a chin-up by the end of the year.
Obstacles:
My upper body isn’t strong enough yet.
How to overcome:
Most trips to the gym, I do as many negative chin-ups as I can.
I’ve added more upper body strength training to my workouts.
If I lose a little weight without losing muscle, I’ll have less to pull up1 -
Also worth mentioning: the goals don't have to be fitness goals, they can get any other type of personal goal if preferred.0

I'm not sure about 5 years, but within the next year I want to be soda free.
Obstacles to reaching my goal:
-Mt. Dew is delicious.
Plan to to reach my goal:
-Limit myself to 2 sodas a week for a month and then 1 soda for a month and then no soda.

In the next 5 years I'd like to do a 5k run.
Obstacles:
-Weight loss
-Previous knee and foot injuries flair up and cause significant pain sometimes. I'm hoping that by loosing weight and building muscle it will be enough to support my knee from being unstable or having pain.
Planning on doing a leisure 2.5k in September and hope to walk a 5k by the end of the year. Eventually want to build up stamina so I can at least partly run the 5k.0
