For me, Tracking, is the key element of the MFP and our challenge team, the UAC.
It's the conscious effort to track that helps me to 'rein it in."
My natural habit is to unconsciously eat for a wide variety of emotional reasons ranging from bored to comfort.
See this short article on how tracking doubles one's weight loss and IMO, one's maintenance success

@benimbenayse. You may be out of circle for the month, but you are encouraged to stay with the group. UAC will stall accept your posts (and they will still be read).
The purpose of the group is to strive to build healthy habits. It takes many false starts and experimentation to find a way to get it to work for you. From experience, the effort is worth the results.
You are more than welcome to stay with us, even if not in circle this month. In fact it is highly encouraged.

Exercised?: Yes. 5km walk in 40 mins (hills)
Calories?: Yes
Tracked?: Yes
Slower walk today than normal, but in daylight and on familiar tracks .
Drove wife to get her eyes tested today. Fortunately prescription lenses that will still enable her to drive. The fear from today was that she would be told that lenses could not bring the vision up to scratch and that cataract surgery would be the only option.
Also she is still doing fantastic on the blood sugars, and on the weight loss. With luck, by Christmas she may be off insulin all together. Even at most pessimistic projection, continuing to do what she is doing now, she should be insulin independent by mid next year.
Sydney tomorrow.
@RangerRickL. Happy birthday. Hope you had a great day.

It feels so good to be back to intense exercise after a period of wimpiness. The heat, the whatever - excuses are done and muscles are sore but happy. Today a session of intervals on the stationary bike then training for 45 minutes. And practicing for an hour - up to 160 bpm on the crazy fast movement! And food tracked and within range.
Happy birthday oh fearless leader @RangerRickL !4 -

@craigo3154 My friend with type 1 diabetes who has been on a KETO diet has lost 52 pounds. Regarding his eyesight, he told me that before he started KETO, his eyeglass prescription was progressively stronger and stronger lenses. Recently, he took his driver's license test and they removed the requirement that he wear glasses while driving. His eyesight is now in the normal range.1

@RangerRickL. My hope is that this may occur, but I would settle for a halt in any deterioration in my wife's eyes.
If my wife can stay legal to drive till our daughter can drive herself, this will mitigate most of the transport/mobility issues we may encounter (with my sporadic work travel commitments).

I went on an impromptu roadtrip last week and haven't had internet for over a week. I have been tracking everything, although a lot of guessing. I have been doing loads of ocean swimming and ocean kayaking as well as walks on the beach. My daily step count is massive and fitbit is giving me a lot of exercise calories.
I just can't check in everyday - but doing my best to log everything.5 -
Yes for today.
I was away this weekend for another jiu jitsu competition. Our team did well and I learnt more about my game. I can see improvement on certain aspects and know exactly what I need to keep working on. That win will not continue eluding me forever! Came back super motivated to work on my weak areas, and fix my nutrition to get to my goal weight and stay there. I Have 6 weeks until I travel to North Africa for 10 days and want to get a a good healthy routine established in this time. I have been making excuses for long enough and finally my life is as close to normal as possible. There is also something in the pipeline that is a big motivator for my healthy lifestyle, but I can't share details until some things are figured out.
Definitely need to avoid wheat because it's triggering my allergies again. I know I should limit my wheat intake, but I let it get out of hand again and now I must deal with the consequences.5 -

Traveling.😒 Trying my best to keep up with everything. Stopping at rest stops and walking like crazy. Kinda dawned on me you don't ususlly see someone walking for thier health there. Additionally I didn't have my cardio in so walked outside hotel then walked the halls. Looked up and realized if they look at thier security cameras they would think I'm crazy. The things we do to try to keep in shape. Lol.5 -
Yes exercised
Yes tracked
Yes stayed under calories5
